David John Kennedy is a New Zealand politician who was elected to the New Zealand parliament at the 2023 general election as a representative of the Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand.
Early life
editKennedy attended Konini Primary School and Kingswell High School.[1]

Kennedy contested the Invercargill electorate in 2011, placing third.[2] He ran again in 2014, placing fourth.[3]
Kennedy unsuccessfully ran for the Invercargill City Council in 2016, placing 22nd.[4]
Kennedy returned to national politics in 2020, this time contesting the Southland electorate, placing third.[5] He contested Southland again in 2023.
