Kia ora, this is the project page for the Christchurch Taskforce. This project's purpose is to improve, expand and create articles related to Christchurch, the largest city in the South Island of New Zealand. We are working as a taskforce under the WikiProject New Zealand banner.

Scope

We cover all things related to Christchurch. A list of articles related to Christchurch can be found at Category:Christchurch.

Meetups

A small group of editors meet up regularly to socialise, discuss Wikipedia, and the things we've been working on and ideas for collaborative projects. Anyone is welcome to come to these meetings. If you're based in Christchurch or its environs please consider attending!

Current projects

Main article to GA

Our main goal is to get the main Christchurch article up to "Good Article" () status. A considerable amount of work has already been done and progress has been good. If you would like to help, coordination is happening at the talk page. A good model for us to use as a goal is the FA on Minneapolis (). Although it is a city in the United States. It is well-sourced, encyclopedic, concise, article illustrated by numerous templates and images and this quality should be reflected to the main Christchurch article. You may contribute to any article you like (or even just a section), we appreciate all contributions.
