- Only the first link, which shows these are used in accelerometers, appears to be useful for adding to the article. The rest are dead, ads, or the page has changed to something else. SpinningSpark 12:29, 22 September 2013 (UTC)

- I have created Mechanical-electrical analogies (there are more than one). This can probably now be archived. I am in two minds whether to make mechanical analogy a redirect; mechanical analogies to domains other than electrical are possible. SpinningSpark 07:34, 22 February 2016 (UTC)

Electronics and electrical engineering prizes
edit- Is there an article that talks about electronics and electrical engineering prizes and awards in general (but more specific than prize)? The Category: Electrical engineering awards seems to be big enough to support an overview article.— Preceding unsigned comment added by DavidCary (talk • contribs) 16:15, 22 August 2011
- Is the golden mousetrap award notable enough for an article of its own, analogous to the far more influential Nobel Prize?— Preceding unsigned comment added by DavidCary (talk • contribs) 16:15, 22 August 2011
- It is not in any way analogous to the Nobel Prize. This seems to be a promotion run by the magazine Design News and perhaps should be mentioned in that article. SpinningSpark 13:40, 22 September 2013 (UTC)
Operational amplifier applications-- diagrams need standarising using conn dots on all figs not just some.--Light current 01:29, 30 September 2005 (UTC). --- awaiting effort
- Any idea how these SVGs are to be edited? I tried Adobe Illustrator CS6 to no avail. It seems the only thing I can do is recreate them from scratch. And when I do, I still am not clear whether a resistor is a zigzag or a rectangle. Which standard ought we to follow? ArthurOgawa (talk) 05:51, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
- @ArthurOgawa: Adobe Illustrator can be fussy about errors in the SVG code whereas Wikimedia tends to ignore the errors and render the file anyway (although a while back some checks were added and a bunch of files that were fine before suddenly stopped rendering.) You should try running the file through an SVG checker, there is a tool available on Wikimedia Labs. There are also a number of free SVG checking tools available on the web. Failing that, I suggest you install Inkscape; that is what I use for diagrams. It's free and I have yet to find anything that it won't render that will render on WP. It will also automatically fix most errors in the file when you resave it. Standardisation of circuit symbols has been discussed in the project in the past, but the project has never decided to impose a standard set. One difficulty is that there are differences between American and UK practice. SpinningSpark 09:39, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
Created page. Could be added to with analogies for other components (inductors etc) if neccesary.--Light current 03:02, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
Split electronic filters as it will be far too massive when all the material has been added. Disscussion here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Light current (talk • contribs) 04:36, 30 September 2005
- I believe that this article was originally intended to cover filters with discrete components. A lot of other material has now been split out but it still needs rationalising and the scope needs explicitly stating (or else a new article needs creating with a limited scope). New material continues to be added and editors need directing to the proper articles for insertion. SpinningSpark 15:22, 22 September 2013 (UTC)
Merge Electronics and the recreated Electronics engineering page. This would give the new compined article some more punch to compete with the overwhelming article on electrical engineering (which BTW has a lot of stuff that shouldnt be there)--Light current 23:44, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
Merge passive differentiator circuit into differentiator so that both active and passive differentiator circuits can be in one article, along with the general theory of differentiator circuits.
I'm not sure whether an in-depth article on an op-amp integrator is beyond Wikipedia's technical scope, so I've proposed a merge of the current stub for comment (see Talk:Op amp integrator#Merge_proposal for rationale/discussion). Also, should it be renamed to Operational amplifier integrator? Laogeodritt [ Talk | Contribs ] 08:07, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
- I did some work on this merge. I made my comments on the talk page of the article itself ArthurOgawa (talk) 05:54, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

Needs a more polishing before its ready. Im not happy with the layout of photos at top of page--Light current 16:15, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
looks like a candidate to me. Snafflekid 18:59, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
I think it really needs some better/more pics especially near the head of article to givre it visual impact. --Light current 07:41, 9 October 2005 (UTC)
Page getting too big again with lots of stuff that doesnt really fit. I have pruned again--Light current 01:10, 14 October 2005 (UTC)
This article seems to have stabilised lately. What do people think about nominating it for a featured article?--Light current 02:40, 6 November 2005 (UTC)
