editI need help to identify what more I can do.
'Jane Emerssen' is my pen name for the purposes of my latest venture into full-length fiction. All my previously published work, which has been largely non-fiction associated with giving advice over problems encountered in the recruitment and selection process, has been under my real name, Judith Johnstone. These books, published by How To Books, are now out of print but still available on Amazon. In December 2012, How To Books were bought by the publishers Constable & Robinson.
'A Necessary Fiction' is my first novel using my pen name. It is due to be published in August and I have been advised to begin a marketing strategy - hence this attempt to find a space on Wikipedia. Publication is being managed by Amolibros who have helped me set up a website under my pen name and details of the novel appear on my website. Judith Johnstone. - Sorry but Wikipedia is not interested in being part of your "marketing strategy", please read WP:ADVERT. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not an advertising medium. -- Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 10:42, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
Holder of 4 Guinness World Records - Dipak Syal

Holder of 4 Guinness World Records <Draft text redacted. Please do not copy your entire draft here> Dipaksyal (talk) 11:23, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
- Do you have a question about Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Dipak Syal? -- Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 12:29, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
HI second time this article has been declined. after reviewing the first attempt I understood the message, and re drafted to comply. Second decline I don't get why. can someone please explain in better detail or assist with the re drafting? Rather than just knock it back? Article was declined by Happy Sailor.
regards. 203.45.89.221 (talk) 11:54, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
- There are no references at all. Where did you find the information? You need to cite your sources in the article. The tone is also far too promotional - Wikipedia does not host advertising. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 12:33, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
THis article was declined due to lack of references. So now I am wondering: Is the reference http://smf.emath.fr/content/anciens-presidents ok (reliable in the Wikipedia sense)? And if I add http://www.ihes.fr/~carbone/papers/women.pdf would that make a difference. I am a bit confused, since it seems the article about Ms Roy on the German wikipedia site has fewer references than this one. LFajstrup (talk) 11:54, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
- The "smf.emath.fr" reference is just the subject's name in a list with dates - it tells us nothing about her. The ihes.fr document looks much better. Each language Wikipedia has its own rules and standards - en.WP is probably the strictest of all. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 12:25, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
- I've moved this into mainspace. She is clearly notable and the references are more than adequate. She was also awarded the Legion of Honour in 2009. Voceditenore (talk) 16:39, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
Hi
Request you to Pls let me know the decline reasons for future reference and rectification of errors.
Thanks Anujeet Anujeet Kumar (talk) 13:41, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
- Your article was not rejected: it was never submitted for review. Add the template {{AFC submission}} to the top of the page to submit it for review. Howicus (talk) 16:41, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
The second time my article has been decline. The article is lacking resources and references because the whole article is from the knowledge of the author. The choral group is a starting group, which clearly means, it's still lacking from references. I already put the most reliable sources possible.
- If those are the best references you can find, then your group may not be notable enough for Wikipedia. Take a look at WP:GNG for more on notability. Howicus (talk) 16:43, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
Oh. Okay Sir. Your response is highly appreciated. I'll pass this article some other time if we have enough. Thanks!
Hi, I am trying to submit this article but has been rejected because I need more citations. I have them however as the toolbar for adding citation seem not to work on my lapton all I can do is do it manually on the footnote but when I submit it there is only the number one of the citation but there is not the full citation and I cannot find a way to relate the reference in the text. Please let me know how I am supposed to proceed in this case. It is just a bit confusing.
Nadine
- It looks like you figured it out by yourself! Good job. Howicus (talk) 16:46, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
How many news articles are sufficient as evidence? I have one that is current and from a highly regarded, reputable and reliable 3rd party news agency. This should be sufficient. I also have other news articles from reliable and reputable news sources, official team web sites, and official game day stats from a fully professional league (listing and satisfying Wikipedia rules as to Football Association notability.)
- We require multiple reliable sources that devote at least a paragraph each to Older to establish his notability; the usual minimum is three to five, the more the better. Huon (talk) 01:35, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
Good afternoon,
An article that I have recently created was denied to be posted. I am inquiring as to why this is? I provided multiple valuable resources stating Franklin Martin as Writer, Director, Producer. Was there a formatting issue?

- The vast majority of your sources suffers at least one of three problems: They are not reliable (this includes IMDb and Wikipedia itself), they are not independent (such as his Facebook page or the film companies he works for), or they don't provide any significant coverage but only mention him in passing, such as Variety. The only reliable third-party source that does cover him in some detail is Screen Comment, and a single source simply is not enough to establish his notability.
- Also, you shouldn't just have a bunch of footnotes in a separate section at the end; the purpose of footnotes is to clarify which source supports which of the draft's statements. For example, "Franklin Martin's Southern roots were the connection that led Martin to his first documentary" - says which source? You should add the footnotes for each citation immediately after the corresponding statement. Huon (talk) 01:35, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
Hello
I am planning to create an articel for all players in my favorite bandyteam Villa Lidkoping(http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Villa_Lidk%C3%B6ping_BK). I have already updated the team page so its up to date. Then I planned to create the player page in jersey number order. First is no 3 Patrik Hellman. But it was rejected and I cannot understand why.
I know its not complete but i didnt wanna sit for hours and finish it and then not getting it approved. I know its not a world wide sport and not an athletes like Usain Bolt or Leonel Messi but you have aproved other bandy players that is far from the swedish elite like: http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Lars_Johansson_%28bandy_player%29.

- Other problematic articles may exist, but that's not an excuse to create more; each submission must stand on its own merits. Your draft does not cite any reliable sources that are independent of the subject; we require significant coverage in such sources to establish that Hellman is notable enough for an article. You also don't have any significant content beyond the name, the nationality and a job description. Huon (talk) 01:35, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
Greetings I had our site submitted for inclusion in Wikipedia and they rejected based on citation issues. My question is, if we have no Media coverage, or books written about World Mentoring Academy, who do we cite for the site? We have lectured at USC to Code Camp,, etc. do we look for other websites comments and info about our site?
- Random websites on the internet are not considered reliable sources. We need published sources that are subject to editorial oversight, sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy. "No media coverage and no books" likely translates into "not notable enough for a Wikiepdia article". Huon (talk) 01:35, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
The editor has rejected the article Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Depth of Knowledge for the following reasons:
1. Apparently I have mistakenly submitted a duplicate of the same article. 2. I used too many references for one of the statements.
As for Item 1, I am not sure what do. Undoubtedly I submitted the same article twice by mistake, but I am not sure how to fix the problem. I cannot find a unique identifier for each article submission, so I don't know which article to keep and which to delete.
I will take care of Item 2 on my own. But can you please tell me what do about Item 1?
Thanks

- This seems resolved; you removed the second copy of your draft with this edit. Huon (talk) 01:35, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
My article on "Amara Mohamed Konneh" has been rejected twice. Kindly, please inform me of the reason for the rejection.
Skhage (talk) 22:48, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
- This seems resolved; the article has been accepted and is now at Amara Mohamed Konneh. For the record, the reason for the last rejection was a lack of inline citations, and the article could still do with more of those. Huon (talk) 01:35, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
A question:
I recently submitted Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Template:MTS line dots for template creation, but the submission was rejected because the template was considered to be a "test edit" - presumably because the page I was intending to use this template for (a "List of San Diego Trolley stations") hasn't itself been submitted or created yet. I had intended to create the template first, so it would already be 'active' when I attempt to create the "List of San Diego Trolley stations" in the near future.
So my question is - is there a way for me to "bundle" the submission of the "List of San Diego Trolley stations" and its accompanying "MTS line dots" (probably not the best title...) template when I'm ready to submit the former?
I'm assuming it's more likely that the template submission would be approved that way, and I'd really like the template to be working the same time that the "List of San Diego Trolley stations" page is hopefully accepted and put in to the system.
Any suggestions that can be offered on this will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. --IJBall (talk) 23:16, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
- I don't think you can bundle submissions, but I also don't think the lack of the article is the reason for declining the template (though it may be easier to add the code to the article itself if the template is to be used on one article only). Rather, the documentation is so vague that the reviewer probably didn't realize how this template works in the first place. An example of use and a list of available parameters should definitely be included in the documentation. Huon (talk) 01:35, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
- I was actually thinking it was likely I was going to revise the Station tables on the pages for the individual lines for the San Diego Trolley afterwards (removing the SDMTS icons for the lines, which I suspect are trademarked, so probably shouldn't be used on Wiki), so it was likely I was going to use the template more than once.
- But thanks for the reply. --IJBall (talk) 02:18, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
