Only has 2 links. 1 of which is up for deletion. No value in having a navbox for 1-2 entries. LibStar (talk) 23:56, 17 September 2024 (UTC)

The result of the discussion was split. As usual, please make sure attribution is given on the talk page using {{split article}} or similar. Primefac (talk) 13:31, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
Propose splitting This may be a controversial decision, but I think this template should be split into multiple templates because according to WP:NAV-WITHIN, navigation templates should be kept small in size as a large template like this one has limited navigation value and is currently hard to read. The only problem is that some of those templates would be too small if split, and that certain versions of this template would be even more confusing and lack coherence with respect to phylogeny: a bit of Oceanic here and there, western branches (which should stay together even if they don't form a phylogenetic clade) also scattered over various places, if it were to be neither too large nor have too many very small templates, like in a revision I made to this template yesterday. - Comment I agree that the template is unnavigatable and extremely tedious to edit. We have more handy templates for various subgroups of the Austronesian languages family. I'll notify WT:LANG about this discusion, maybe project members have an idea what to do with the big one. –Austronesier (talk) 19:54, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
- Add: we have to keep in mind that it is heavily used. Simply deleting it without proper replacment will be problematic for the many languages that are not included in one of the subgroup templates. –Austronesier (talk) 20:00, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
- Then let's split it up and replace it with the sub navboxes in this one. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 00:09, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
- Delete There are too many Austronesian languages belonging to small branches or being "isolates" of Malayo-Polynesian (e.g. Javanese, Sundanese, Lampung, Chamorro, Palauan). DDG9912 01:28, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
- Split, template too large so it is better to split the navbox into smaller ones. ToadetteEdit (talk) 11:37, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
- This looks like it would be a good opportunity for User:Izno/Navbox constellations if split. I am inclined at least to splitting. Deletion seems a step too far, it doesn't need to be split into tiny pieces. Izno (talk) 20:43, 28 September 2024 (UTC)

The result of the discussion was merge to Template:R protected. ✗plicit 06:33, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
- Template:R fully protected (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
- Template:R template-protected (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
- Template:R extended-protected (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
- Template:R semi-protected (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
- Template:R protected (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Propose merging Template:R fully protected, Template:R template-protected, Template:R extended-protected, and Template:R semi-protected with Template:R protected.
Having five different templates for five different protection levels can easily cause things like incorrect protection templates being used when the protection level is changed. I think there should only be one template for all five protection levels. Awesome Aasim 21:50, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- I don't know why we don't just deprecate these templates, seeing as {{Rcat shell}} automatically detects protection and adds the appropriate rcat, but merge per nom. Charlotte (Queen of Hearts • talk) 00:02, 24 September 2024 (UTC)

Two transclusion template which is redundant to {{mw button|class=progressive}}
. Convert the two uses to use {{mw button}}
Android then redirect to the different {{blue button}}. HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 18:42, 17 September 2024 (UTC)

- Template:2013/14/15 Hawthorn triple premiership players (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Unused navbox other than in one user's sandbox. The articles linked use the stand-alone yearly one templates. Gonnym (talk) 11:09, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- Keep. This template was replaced across all articles by a single user without discussion (e.g. [1]). But the equivalent template Template:2001/02/03 Brisbane Lions triple premiership players is still being used across all relevant articles, so the change was inconsistent with related articles. - Delete Individual navboxes for the 2013, 2014, and 2015 championship rosters are on not only the articles of the AFL finals but also the players linked in the individual navboxes for each year. And those navboxes are working just fine. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 23:37, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
