The rumors surrounding Kim Jong Un's death have long died down since 2020. Therefore, there is little value in having this editnotice. Sagflaps (talk) 22:58, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
- Keep. This should be kept for future use as North Korea is an extremely secretive/secluded country. I think the only things that are available from the country are carefully worded mouthpiece statements. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 18:17, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
- I think this is missing the point a little bit, in that Kim Jong Un continues to make public appearances. So, the rumors about him being dead or in a coma are mostly gone. Sagflaps (talk) 20:33, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
- Delete Wikipedia:CRYSTAL. We shouldn't have this around until rumors start coming again. And even then, when rumors are abound we still have to rely on editing policy on having reliable sources that would be added to information in the article. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 23:50, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
- Delete: This could've just been blanked, but we're here now, so delete as unnecessary. QueenofHearts 06:53, 4 February 2024 (UTC)

- Template:Taxonomic links (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Created prior to {{Taxonbar}}, but now redundant to it in function. Plantdrew (talk) 22:38, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Plantdrew just to be clear, on a page like Nanoarchaeota which uses both, your propose to remove {{Taxonomic links}}? and if a page does not have {{Taxonbar}}, it should be replaced with it? Gonnym (talk) 09:20, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Gonnym:, yes I would like to remove this template from Nanoarchaeota (among other articles). Of the 5 links provided by this template in that article, 4 are broken. The NCBI link works and has a manually specified ID. Taxonbar has an automatically specified ID (via Wikidata) for NCBI and a working link to LPSN (via an ID on Wikidata). The Species2000/Catalogue of Life search provided by this template doesn't work, and Wikidata doesn't currently have a Catalogue of Life ID for Nanoarcheota, but Wikidata does have many COL IDs. This template has 205 transclusions and Taxonbar has 460,000+ transclusions. I don't think there are any articles where this template is present without Taxonbar.
- I don't see any point in keeping templates (such as this one) that provide external links via individually specified database IDs that are already stored on Wikidata, or (in the absence of specified IDs) via formatted search strings that aren't being updated to maintain their functionality. Plantdrew (talk) 04:49, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for this explanation. Gonnym (talk) 10:41, 30 January 2024 (UTC)

- Delete per the above. I've checked on PetScan and I couldn't find a page that has Taxonomic links but doesn't have Taxonbar. Gonnym (talk) 10:42, 30 January 2024 (UTC)

- Template:Taxon (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
- Template:FishTaxon (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
- Template:GeneralTaxon (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Barely used (4 article space transclusions). Was created prior to {{Taxonbar}}, but is now redundant to it in function. {{FishTaxon}} and {{GeneralTaxon}} are only called by this template and should also be deleted if this is. Plantdrew (talk) 22:34, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
- Added the other two mentioned. Gonnym (talk) 09:22, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- Delete all three. I've checked on PetScan and I couldn't find a page that has one of the three but doesn't have Taxonbar. Gonnym (talk) 10:44, 30 January 2024 (UTC)

Template contains only two articles that are not redirects which is too few for a template (Star Wars: Jedi Apprentice and The Rising Force). Also both articles are already linked at Template:Star Wars Legends novels, making this template redundant. Mika1h (talk) 13:55, 28 January 2024 (UTC)

Unused navbox for which all links point to the same article. Not useful for navigation. – Jonesey95 (talk) 13:43, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
- Jonesey95, looks the author has already moved this to draft space, so close as "move to draft space" and delete the redirect? Frietjes (talk) 22:27, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- Withdrawn. Moved to Draft space by author. Thanks for the ping, Frietjes. – Jonesey95 (talk) 23:59, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
