The list of pianists here only seems to be based on their appearance on an expansive CD set and not any type of organized or stated consensus. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 21:55, 15 December 2023 (UTC)

- Delete Navbox equivalent of WP:TOPTEN. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 23:31, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- Keep: WP:TOPTEN is about category, not template. What means "any type of organized or stated consensus"? Please see Template:UK Christmas No. 1 albums, or may other templates. If Template:Great Pianists of the 20th Century is "not any type of organized" consensus, even Template:Grammy Award for Album of the Year can be presented as only arbitrary list by one academy of one country, not international consensus. --Y-S.Ko (talk) 19:08, 17 December 2023 (UTC)
- Apples and oranges comparisons and a other stuff exists arguments. UK Christmas No. 1 albums are literally albums that were number one in the UK on December 25th. There are specifically identified albums that won the Grammy Award in the Album of the Year category. No one can say they are not. Who is saying these are the greatest pianists of the 20th century? A compiler at a record company? That being said, it's not like any similar navigation templates exist for "best songs of the 20th century" or "greatest painters of all time". If you think this deserves to be kept, please justify ITS existence. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 20:56, 17 December 2023 (UTC)
- Who made "Great Pianists of the 20th Century" series is, of course, one record company, just like Template:Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media or Template:Gramophone Hall of Fame is made by one academy or one magazine. What is "great" or "best" is subjective. But who is in list "Great Pianists of the 20th Century" by Philips Records, or who is in list Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media by Recording Academy, or Gramophone Hall of Fame by Gramophone is about objective facts. --Y-S.Ko (talk) 09:18, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
- Who the greatest pianists of the 20th century are is not an objective fact. Who the pianists are that were selected for inclusion on a CD titled Great Pianists of the 20th Century is. factual, as you say, but why is a navbox needed for that. We do not create templates that list every act on CD compilations. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 17:14, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
- If the list is notable enough, I think the template is not that problematic. --Y-S.Ko (talk) 23:38, 23 December 2023 (UTC)

- Delete per nominator. It may be worth mentioning that the criteria for inclusion and overall production quality generated controversy at the time of the series' release, as well as personal accusations (to my knowledge unsubstantiated) against the producer, Tom Deacon. —CurryTime7-24 (talk) 04:05, 24 December 2023 (UTC)

- Template:Mayors of capital cities of European Union member states (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Geography and local politics trivia. Mayors are in charge of local politics, and all that these cities have in common is that they host their countries' national politics. There is a use for pan-EU templates like this such as Template:Foreign Ministers of the European Union member states. That is because Foreign Ministers are representatives of national government, and Foreign Ministers naturally host each other and discuss policy with each other, which is clearly relevant as co-members of a supranational organisation. The mayor of Berlin is simultaneously a state governor. What does that have in common between the mayor of Valletta (a town of 6,000 which only hosts 1% of the population of the microstate of Malta) and the purely nominal role of Lord Mayor of Dublin? All there is in common is that Berlin, Dublin and Valletta share the national government, which none of these mayors have anything to do with. Unknown Temptation (talk) 00:12, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
