Wikipedia:Strict constructionist deletion

Strict Constructionist Deletion is wikiPhilosophy that if a deletion cannot be justified by Wikipedia:Deletion policy or by Wikipedia:Ignore all rules, it is illegal.
For instance, suppose a page was speedied as being "unencyclopedic". The deletion could not be justified under Wikipedia:Deletion policy, since the policy only allows for speedy deletions if the item meets Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion, which does not have an entry for "unencyclopedic" pages. The deletion also could not be justified with Wikipedia:Ignore all rules, as the deletion of "unencyclopedic" content does not improve Wikipedia's quality. Therefore, according to Strict Constructionist Deletion Interpretation, the deletion would have been inappropriate, and should therefore be undone (through WP:DRV).
