- "Low and intermediate waste from the nuclear power plants in New Brunswick and Quebec is stored on-site in special structures of concrete and other materials"[1], according to the Canadian Nuclear Association. The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation reports that "sitting in seven locations across Eastern and Central Canada are more than two million fire-log-sized used nuclear fuel-rod bundles"[2] they haven't quite figured out how to dispose of.
