The Rise of 'Continental' Philosophy?

Please correct me, but: Could it be the case that the so called 'continental philosophy' is more and more popular in the younger generation?
They see the 'continental' tradition as more social relevant and the 'analytic' way as a play with words and logic, far away from the claim to be a more scientific way of philosophy?--92.76.145.233 (talk) 07:44, 7 March 2020 (UTC)

It's hard to tell exactly what you're asking: my impression (at least in the US) is that interest among students in philosophy and humanities topics is declining in general, due to increased economic pressure. But, among students who study philosophy anyway, it's possible that continental philosophy is attracting more interest than it used to. I believe academic philosophy programs in more recent decades have focused almost entirely on analytic philosophy. If you wanted to study something like existentialism, you'd probably do that in one of the literature departments. Could that have changed recently? 73.93.153.132 (talk) 11:41, 9 March 2020 (UTC)

William Thomas Goode

Please can someone source a death date (and other biographical stats) for William Thomas Goode, an academic and journalist who flourished 1900-1921 in London? not to be confused with the other journalist Willaim Goode, Irish, born in Austria, enlisted in the U.S. Calvary when out of food[5] and ended up Sir William, real ruler of Austria[6] wikidata:Q18531270. fiveby (talk) 01:02, 8 March 2020 (UTC)
