Do the articles on Gwenpool, Nadia van Dyne and Piccolo belong in the category Fictional asexuals?

edit

Neither of the three articles mention anything about their subjects being asexual, at least not as far as I could find out with Ctrl + F. – MrPersonHumanGuy (talk) 19:16, 23 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I dug through the history of the Gwenpool article, and here's what's been going on: 11 June 2021, Milkine adds the category. 12 June 2021, Milkine adds it again. 14 June 2021, and again, and again. 19 June 2021, and again. 7 December 2021, IP editor removes it. 9 December, some other IP adds it back. 15 December 2021, another IP editor removes it. The evidence for it seems to amount to her wearing a purple shirt. 17 December 2021, the first (?) IP editor puts it back again, citing a blog which says something about the purple shirt and the purple asexual flag. 5 January 2022, an IP editor removes it and says that she's referred to as bisexual in a specific comic. 7 January 2022, an IP editor puts it back again without comment. 20 January 2022, removed by Descriptivist along with a lot of other material. 22 January 2022, everything is put back by an IP. Now the text mentions only that the character once had her face painted, which is then referenced to a blog about asexual comic characters, despite the text of the article saying nothing about that. 26 January 2022, Descriptivist removes it all again, cites policy. 30 January 2022, IP editor puts the category back again. 10 May 2022, this time an IP editor removes the fictional bisexuals category claiming it wasn't mentioned. That's where the matter stands at the moment. Incidentally, User:Milkine is indefinitely blocked as a sockpuppet.
Regarding the Nadia Van Dyne article, the category was added by another sockpuppet of the same user.
Regarding the Piccolo article, I get the impression that this character belongs to a race of aliens without biological sex, so this one may be correct, but it ought to be mentioned in the text and cited somewhere. This claim was made in a comment when the category was added in 2016. Then at List_of_Dragon_Ball_characters#Namekians it says they "are seen reproducing asexually", but I don't think it gives the relevant comic book where this happens (unless it's the same as the one cited at the end of the paragraph).  Card Zero  (talk) 20:27, 23 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
...So I guess I'll take the category off the first two, if you're not going to.  Card Zero  (talk) 22:52, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
