Has there been any reason to worry about Russian hackers contributing articles or screeds to Forbes under false names?Rich (talk) 01:50, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Why would there be? A major publication like Forbes doesn't solicit articles from people they don't know and has editors to check the content. Have there even been any incidents of any hackers anywhere doing something like this? Clarityfiend (talk) 06:46, 22 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It depends on what is meant by "Forbes". They host two kinds of content: articles written by Forbes staff and under Forbes editorial control, and articles written by Forbes contributors, which is content written by others with much less editorial control. The second type would be much more prone to abuse. --Jayron32 15:37, 22 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Most of the accusations regarding Russian hackers posting under false names concern blogs or talk pages of news sites, but not actually contributing content to reputable news sources. See Russian web brigades. Xuxl (talk) 14:35, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Why Forbes in particular? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots22:43, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
