All You Need is Love

edit

Can anybody tell me who sings "All You Need is Love" in the current BBC promo? It sounds to me a bit like Ellie Goulding, but I don't think it is her. Can anyone help? This is Paul (talk) 19:04, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Rae Morris [1] Nanonic (talk) 19:39, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. This is Paul (talk) 20:36, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Rae Morris sings All You Need is Love in the BBC promo. http://www.tvadmusic.co.uk/2015/03/bbc-if-you-love-something-let-it-show/ Here is a link to the promo along with proof that Rae Morris sings that song. http://whatisthissong.mobi/bbc-if-you-love-something-let-it-show/ Here is another link that can show you that in the promo video Rae Morris sings that long. Here is BBC website that also indicated that Rae Morris sang the song which is an extremely creditable source http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02mphr4. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paigenn44 (talkcontribs) 14:54, 1 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Song in my head, can't remember name

edit

It's a song of the 80's. It was like:

turururutun turururutun here we stand again, ... (not sure about it)

It was in the soundtrack of a movie (of the 80's), at the beginning. It was surely high on the charts back then. Was not rock, but more 80's happy pop.

--Denidi (talk) 19:50, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"Up Where We Belong" (Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes), the theme to An Officer and a Gentleman (1982), perhaps? Tevildo (talk) 23:11, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't get much more '80s than "Here I Go Again". Some might call it rock, but that's debatable. Is turururutun turururutun anything like parumpapumpum? InedibleHulk (talk) 23:38, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Or "tan-tan-tara" in a number of Gilbert & Sullivan numbers. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots02:13, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
1984's "Shalalalashalalalala" was in 1989's Roadkill. It's a longshot, but it's an alright tune and that seems like a good movie. I'll watch it to make sure, and let you know if I hear anything familar at the beginning. InedibleHulk (talk) 02:49, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Da Doo Ron Ron? --91.186.78.4 (talk) 07:01, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Come on Eileen has the line "too-ra-loo-ra-yea" which may be a match? --Jayron32 14:15, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
My money is on Bad Blood by Neil Sedaka, with backup vocals by Elton John. Part of the refrain is "doo-run, doo-run, di-di-dit doo-run-run". It also has the lyrics "From where I stand..." and "I don't understand..." in it. A classic fun song. It's from 1975, but was very successful and got a lot of airplay; it wouldn't surprise me in the least for it to be used in a soundtrack. 64.235.97.146 (talk) 14:25, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It was Tears For Fears - Everybody Wants to Rule the World, from the movie Peter's friends.--Denidi (talk) 17:59, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That song is in way describable as "happy pop"! But I'm glad you found it. --Dweller (talk) 11:51, 29 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That was sort of an '80s movie. Glad you found it, though, because I was about to guess "Doo-doo-doo, doo-doo-da-doo-doo, Doo-Doo-Dooo!" InedibleHulk (talk) 21:03, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I just listened to the song, and that lyric does not appear in it. Unless the movie version was different from the album version. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots19:16, 30 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Objects in the rear view mirror may appear closer than they are. She said she wasn't sure. If lyrics appear at all when you listen to a song, that might be synesthesia, or maybe just semantics. Or maybe you've got YouTube lyric fever. Sadly, the only prescription is worse than this transcription. InedibleHulk (talk) 20:18, 30 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
A few lines up from here, Denidi states it with certainty. Only it ain't so, at least not on the album version. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots21:43, 30 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'm talking a few lines down from there. She knew she wasn't sure, but she was sure she could be right. It's like how Jimi Hendrix has that ditty about excusing himself to kiss this guy. InedibleHulk (talk) 23:11, 30 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You've lost me. In any case, it's not that song. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots00:11, 31 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It was that song. That's the sure part, because Denidi states it with certainty. The part about the lyric was blatantly uncertain, but it's over now and there's no shadow of a doubt. InedibleHulk (talk) 00:48, 31 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
So the OP was thinking of the right song, but got the lyric wrong. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots01:07, 31 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Indubitably. InedibleHulk (talk) 01:51, 31 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Choosing the right movie digital download service

edit

I'd been using iTunes for movie rentals via digital download but lately it's been acting up so much that I've just given up on it.

So I tried Amazon Instant Video but I had a problem with it - that is, on most movies the studio's current logo has been imposed over the actual logo when it came out.

Any good digital download services besides those two, that don't do what Amazon does? Theskinnytypist (talk) 21:09, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
