Playable Goth / punk girls in Video games?

edit

Are there any playable goth / punk girls in video games?? Like wearing black clothes and in black high heel punk boots? and I'm just wondering if there is any game out there that features a playable girl that is a goth / punker. :s

And is wearing goth clothes then o.o — Preceding unsigned comment added by 157.157.37.219 (talk) 00:52, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

With downloaded modifications, goth characters are possible in the various editions of The Sims. In fact, the original version featured an entire goth family (named the Goths); they were not controlled by the player, but the player could interact with them.    → Michael J    01:11, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The Goth family recur in the most recent version, and (as in version 1) can be invited to join the player's family, whereupon they become playable characters. In the same genre, Space Colony (video game) featured a pair of Japanese punk lesbians as part of its team of assorted player characters, who were all from different cultural backgrounds. (The game's main challenge is to prevent angst and reduce social friction, in order to maintain the colony.)  Card Zero  (talk) 12:34, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Saints Row: The Third features one clothing store, Nobody Loves Me, which sells a variety of goth-ick clothes for one's in-game avatar (I managed a Matrix-like black-with-straps ensemble, but not high heels). In fairness, the game is overwhelmingly about blowing stuff up, not dressing up. -- Finlay McWalterTalk 14:26, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Judy Nails in Guitar Hero is punky, and Lulu (Final Fantasy) is sort of gothic. --Colapeninsula (talk) 15:08, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Pretty much every female character in the gothic-punk genre game Vampire: the Masquerade- Bloodlines. Visual appearance differs by clan but they're all wabout what you're looking for. HominidMachinae (talk) 20:24, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Who sings Flo-Rida's songs?

edit

Who actually sings Flo-Rida's songs? μηδείς (talk) 02:53, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is there any reason to think that it isn't Flo-Rida? 69.62.243.48 (talk) 04:03, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
His face is never shown when there is any melodic singing, or whistling, as in his recent Whistle Baby song. Only when he raps. (I was quite surprised to find out the last was his song.) T-Pain seems to carry Low. I am curious if he has known backup singers or anyone is credited for vocals besides him. μηδείς (talk) 04:17, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If you look at Flo Rida discography you'll see that many of them credit a singer (e.g. Akon on "Who Dat Girl"). Some of the individual Wikipedia articles on songs tell you who sang on the recording. If you have a particular song you're interested in that would probably be easier to answer than giving a list of every performer on every one of his records. --Colapeninsula (talk) 10:27, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
My point seems to be that he doesn't ever actually seem to sing, rather than at best, to rap. But that is close enough to OR and a BLP violation that I am happy to drop the question, so I shall mark it resolved. μηδείς (talk) 04:06, 16 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Taken Back: Finding Haley (2012 Television Movie)

edit

Did anyone else watch this movie? Is this movie based on a true story about a particular person or it based on general stories about Kidnapping Cases? For example, Antoine Fisher movie is based on true story about a person named Antoine Fisher? (76.20.90.53 (talk) 08:42, 14 August 2012 (UTC)).[reply]

This site claims it is "based on a true story": [1]. However, "based on" doesn't mean it actually is a true story. In other words, they often take lots of liberties with the details. StuRat (talk) 21:20, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, "based on" is a slippery term. Plan 9 from OUter Space was "based on sworn testimony". ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots14:01, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In that movie, why in the world did the fake mother try to separate Haley from Haley's Real Mother again? The fake mother almost murdered Haley's biological mother.(76.20.90.53 (talk) 07:59, 18 August 2012 (UTC)).[reply]

Are there movies about the 1979 war between China and Vietnam?

edit

Does anybody know the titles of any (foreign) movies about the Sino-Vietnamese War? I would appreciate any useful information. Thank you. InforManiac (talk) 23:54, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Sino-Vietnamese War films has a grand total of one film: Wreaths at the Foot of the Mountain (1984). IMDb has Ge zi shu (1985) with the war as a keyword. In both cases, how's your Mandarin? Clarityfiend (talk) 00:04, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
There's also Armoured Car 008 (1980) and Lighting Action (1987).[2] Clarityfiend (talk) 00:10, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much. I cannot understand spoken Mandarin, but I'm hoping to possibly find copies with English subtitles. InforManiac (talk) 02:10, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome (and good luck). P.S. This is the correct link for the last two films (and three television episodes) in the Chinese Movie Database. Clarityfiend (talk) 02:39, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I really appreciate all your help. So far I'm not seeing any of those videos with subtitles, but I will keep searching. InforManiac (talk) 03:08, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
