Gunpura detailing

edit

I've seen many Gunpura model manuals feature a type of spray that darkens the grooved details so that they stand out more. What spray would that be? Also, what would be the best technique to use the paints on the robots, especially on the smaller details?64.75.158.197 (talk) 07:43, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Does the manual specifically say that a certain type of spray paint can color grooves darker? I don't think the effect you describe can be achieved by using special paint, though I'd be very interested to see otherwise. Some photos of models have much better lighting than others, and this can make a big difference in the appearance of groove/edge detail. Also, some modelers may shade crevices by hand. You probably have a better chance for detailed info from a gundam modeling forum such as this one [1]. SemanticMantis (talk) 21:51, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's not a spray paint, for all I know. It's simply used to darken in the insides of the grooved details on the robots so that they stand out more. I just want to know what the spray happens to be. 64.75.158.193 (talk) 01:37, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
