The Mole US returning in 2008?

edit

From an addition made to The Mole's Wikipedia page, under the United States section:

New rumors have begun to circulate that ABC has decided to resurrect The Mole for a fifth season, this time once again touting a group of 12 strangers in which hides a secret saboteur. While ABC has not made an official statement regarding the show, many sources, most notably from http://www.tv.com have stated that the show is being slated to return for the summer of 2008, under the name "The Mole 5: The Saboteur's Return". ABC is expected to make an official announcement regarding the series' return sometime September 2007.

No direct source is given and visiting the link posted (www.tv.com) returns no such news.

That paragraph is probably just vandalism. A quick Google search turned up nothing about such rumors, and the article history shows that the information was added by this user, who has made only three other edits, all of which appear to be vandalism as well. --CrazyLegsKC 03:47, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the reply. I noticed this interesting edit by user BT14 made after Darkharbor's statement on The Mole's return to US cable:
http://en.wiki.x.io/w/index.php?title=The_Mole&diff=prev&oldid=151619615. This edit changed the announcement for the return from "sometime this month" to the more specific "September 2007", and BT14's contribution history doesn't show any signs of vandalism.
Any insights on this?
It has been tagged as "Requires Citation," but I'm tempted to be bold and remove the paragraph completely. It's barely English and there is no reason for it to be in bold. I did some searching and could not find any evidence of these alleged rumors. I'm not sure rumors belong in articles anyway. --LarryMac | Talk 14:14, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed it. I think stuff like that can be killed on sight.--Shantavira|feed me 18:33, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Glengarry Glen Ross

edit

Can anyone offer any insight as to why this movie / play was so titled? I know that Glengarry and Glen Ross are two of the properties that the salesmen are trying to sell. But, so what? Glengarry does have a somewhat important role in the film / play. Glen Ross is barely mentioned, perhaps once or twice. Does anyone know why they would choose to use this specific title? It seems very odd. Thanks. (Joseph A. Spadaro 08:37, 22 August 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Probably just marketing. It trips off the tongue nicely. I can think of several film titles that bear little relation to the film content.--Shantavira|feed me 14:17, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I am sure there are many, but I can't seem to think of any off the top of my head. Can you give a few examples of film titles that are essentially unrelated to the film's content? Thanks. (Joseph A. Spadaro 19:40, 22 August 2007 (UTC))[reply]
I was terribly dissapointed by the content of The Squid and the Whale. ;) 38.112.225.84 06:08, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What would you rather call it? "Sassy Realtors"? --24.249.108.133 15:17, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

From memory, the daughter was doing a school science project on this topic, so there is some relevance there. One of my favourite recent movies, Sideways, was not about anything or anyone moving sideways. -- JackofOz 01:11, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Except for the subway doors.  :) Corvus cornix 02:27, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I guess that the title is odd for two reasons. Reason One - the "Glen Ross" reference is essentially non-existent in the story line / plot. And then couple that with Reason 2. The title has very odd grammar / construction. It makes no sense. "Glengarry" and "Glen Ross" are the names of two properties. So, it would be like saying "Texas Idaho" ... or "Pittsburgh Miami" ... or "Poland Canada". Just seems illogical and makes no sense ...? (Joseph A. Spadaro 19:40, 22 August 2007 (UTC))[reply]
