How to Auto-Post Facebook posts to Twitter using all 240 characters?

edit

We run a small organization with official Facebook and Twitter accounts. We have it setup so that whenever we post something to our Facebook account, it automatically posts to our Twitter account. (I'm not 100% sure how this works, I'm not the one who set this up. I think it's a setting in Twitter.)

Twitter recently changed the number of maximum characters from 140 characters to 280 characters.

The problem is that when we post something to FB and it gets auto-posted to Twitter, the Tweets are still getting truncated at 140 characters. My question is: how do I get it so that it uses all 280 characters? A Quest For Knowledge (talk) 12:32, 9 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It sounds like you will need a software update on whatever is doing the cross posting. If you cannot find who set this up by asking, perhaps you can do it by process of elimenation. Disconnect your company internet and see if the cross post still happens. If that stops, it is something local to you, if not you have a lot of Internet to search! I suppose you could change your twitter password to stop official posting there. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 23:19, 10 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Victor Meldrew .wav

edit

Anyone know where I can get a .wav file of one of Victor_Meldrew's exasperated comments? Preferably "Oh for God's sake!", but failing that any of the famous ones ( "I don't believe it!!", "What in the name of bloody hell?!", "In the name of sanity!", etc) would do. (It's to use as a Windows error sound effect). Iapetus (talk) 16:17, 9 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Have you tried searching for "Victor Meldrew ringtone"? The first result I get includes an "I don't believe it" download, and there are plenty of free apps out there to convert from mp3. Rojomoke (talk) 11:49, 10 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
