Precocious editing is the performance of edits with wiki knowledge that appears far beyond that which would be expected from a newbie. When this occurs, it may lead others to believe that the user may have had another account previously or may have one presently, which may or may not be a violation of Wikipedia's sock puppetry guidelines.
