Need some ideas on how to improve. Please comment. 11kowrom 00:05, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
- Please expand the lead to conform with guidelines at WP:LEAD. The article should have an appropriate number of paragraphs as is shown on WP:LEAD, and should adequately summarize the article.
- The two pictures and and the infobox near the top squish the text. Spread them out a bit.
- "Odessa has always possessed a spirit of freedom and ironic humour, probably by virtue of its location and its willingness to accept and tolerate people of many different backgrounds." Needs a source. Otherwise it might violate WP:NOR
- Per WP:CONTEXT and WP:BTW, years with full dates should be linked; for example, link January 15, 2006, but do not link January 2006.
- There are several paragraphs that are too short, which sometimes disrupts the flow of the article. These should either be expanded or merged.
- Per WP:MOS, the first letters of words in heading should not be capitalized unless: 1) it is a proper noun or 2) it is the first word of the heading.
- Per WP:MOSNUM, there should be a no-break space -
between a number and the unit of measurement. For example, instead of 18mm, use 18 mm, which when you are editing the page, should look like:18 mm
. - It really needs quite a few more inline citations. Also, ==Further reading== is only for works not used as references. If you reference it, it should go in ==References==

this review made possible by AndyZ's templates
- In response to AndyZ's bullet point about date links. This can be done easily using a 'dates' tab in edit mode. Simply copy the entire contents of User:Bobblewik/monobook.js to your own monobook. You will also get a 'units' tab. Hope that helps. bobblewik 19:27, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
- The lead needs to be much longer - see WP:LEAD.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 00:05, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
