The Great American Wiknic is an annual wiki-picnic campaign held in cities across the United States. The first national Wiknic was held in June 2011, with 16 cities participating. The concept was modeled after the "Wikipedia 10" celebrations and the 2007 Wiknic in New York City. Wiknics are low-impact, with people bringing their own picnic food and perhaps items to share, and can be a great entry point to Wikipedia culture.
