  • "Robert Mitchum (1917 – 1997) was an American actor who was in over 110 films and TV series" - "was in" is a bit weak. Maybe "appeared in"
  • "He is ranked as #23" => "He is ranked 23rd"
  • "During the 1940s, he also cast in" => "During the 1940s, he was also cast in"
  • "The Friends of Eddie Coyle, The Yakuza and Farewell, My Lovely (in which he played Philip Marlowe)" - presumably he only played Marlowe in the last-named film? This could be interpreted as saying he played him in all of them.
    • Tweaked a bit and just took out the Philip Marlowe role altogether
  • "His later roles in the 1980s up until 1995" - 1995 was not in the 1980s, so this needs re-wording. Also why 1995, given that there is one film listed for 1997?
    • Tweaked again to say "His later roles between 1980 and 1997"
  • "He was also in the 1985 miniseries" - as above
  • "He had a reoccurring role" - pretty sure you mean "recurring"

  • In the 1940s films table, the role of Jeb Rand seems to sort under J and Seaman Chuck Ryan under S. Both should sort under R.
  • In the 1970s films table, Father Oliver Van Horne should sort under V, not H, and "the final victim" should sort under F.
  • In the TV table, is there a reason why Victor 'Pug' Henry's rank is not listed both times?
    • I checked and he's actually not credited as Captain at all, so I removed
  • Also in that table, Jake Spanner should sort under S, not J
  • In the short films table, titles starting with A or The should sort under the next word in the title

*I think it would read better if it said television series in the first sentence rather than TV I'd go with this link for the AFI ranking [[2]] In the lead it says that Border Patrol is his first named credited role but the table has him having a named role in Follow the Band which is earlier (I'm presuming that the table is in release order). Hopalong Cassidy films redirects to List of Hopalong Cassidy films. Jim Lacy aka Nevada --> Jim "Nevada" Lacy "During the 1940s, he was also cast in the films..." how about " in the film noirs... "Among his best-known films of the 1970s" why were these the best known films of this time period? Was he critically acclaimed, were they commercial successes? Somewhere in the lead we should mention his only Oscar nominated role in The Story of G.I. Joe especially as it was his first commercial and critical success, and likely his breakthrough role Quentin 'Horse' Gilford --> Quentin "Horse" Gilford Gung Ho should be linked to Gung Ho! 'Pigiron' --> "Pigiron" 'Fingers' --> "Fingers",'Pug' --> "Pug" The 1980s table should have role(s), does he play two characters in Nightkill or is he one character known by two different names? Is there any particular reason the short films are in a separate table, there are only four and they could be included in the other tables with a description of them being a short film in the notes section? In the references, there should be no all caps e.g. reference 15 "WEST OF THE PECOS" --> West of the Pecos Check that the refs conform to styles such as newspapers/magazines should use cite news with the work= name of publication e.g. ref 82 and ref 83 For the book references just use the Template:Sfn, makes it look sleeker. If you have not used it before I'm happy to show an example so you'll know for the future. Also I think we now generally use first=, last= rather than author= I would replace the frenchfilms.org ref as it doesn't appear like it would meet WP:RS I would also consider replacing the People references especially as they don't mention the roles he played in those films cited A general thing to check is that the references in the table cite everything in the table including the character's names Cowlibob (talk) 16:32, 20 January 2020 (UTC) @Cowlibob: - Ok I think I have addressed everything if you want to take a quick look to make sure I didn't miss anything. Just copy and paste the link and it creates a wikipedia citation for you. You can even adjust it to use first= last= instead of author= Just remember to edit the page number. The Sfn template is used like so. Next to the sentence you want to cite put {{sfn|Last name of author1|last name of author2 (if multiple authors)|Year of publication|p=x or pp=x-y}} example is this edit: [[4]] Next modify the book source list like I did in this edit [[5]]. Adding a refbegin and end and next to each book ref, ref=harv For the Golden Age actresses, I would pick three notable collaborations as listing six is probably too much. Same with his military roles, pick like three or four of those to mention. Our article Robert Mitchum seems to suggest that Ryan's Daughter was a significant turning point in his career as his previous films were not received well by critics and were flops. It also mentions that he was playing against type, might be sources available for this which we could include. I wouldn't mention his appearance in the 1991 version of Cape Fear but I would mention his appearance in the original 1962 version as from my recollection, he received critical acclaim for playing Max Cady in that. Also his villainous role in The Night of the Hunter. What role did he play in The Magic of Make-up? I presume as an uncredited extra. It would be worth mentioning that The Winds of War was the most watched miniseries at its time [[6]] Were Présumé dangereux and Les sept péchés capitaux French language films? Yes, the two films you mentioned are french language films - even though Mitchum speaks English in them, everyone else speaks French. He played a model in The Magic of Makeup - per the reference is says it was a short so I added that to the table. I appreciate you adding the SFN templates - I think I got them all. While doing so, I've picked up that Chance's book is self-published and so is Kapnistos' book so those refs will need to be replaced per WP:SPS. I think the lead needs a bit of tweaking, which I'll try to do later on today.
