Discussion
editThis appears good, but... are you sure this is non-controversial? Is this the sort of change you should discuss at Wikipedia:WikiProject Christianity first? – Quadell (talk) 17:44, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- I checked myself a pack of them and they look ok. For the rest I assume good faith. I gave a heads up to the project above. -- Magioladitis (talk) 18:03, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- All of the edits are putting pages in a more specific catagory-- century instead of just time period-- or Protestant martyrs instead of just martyrs etc. The source for the information is other catagories thay are already in.
- This is very simlar to the approved request here. --Carlaude (talk) 18:19, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- The date information were gained from a bot searching the article pages for catagories on years, death dates, and people by century. The sorting by century-- instead of by period-- gives the page a more consistant catagorization (few errors) and lets the large catagories be not so large and more useful to creating information for the main pages. For example, nearly all 4th-century martyrs are from the Diocletian persecution.
- Separating out out the martyrs into Protestant martyrs & Roman Catholic martyrs (begining in the 16th century) is important since they where then often martyrs at the hands of each other.
- These catagories are also the only form complete catagorization for the Christian saints and the martyrs. --Carlaude (talk) 04:21, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Approved for trial (5 edits from List A, 5 from C2, 5 from C3, and 5 from C4). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. Let's just make sure it works. – Quadell (talk) 20:32, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Trial complete. No problems. In fact instead of just adding categories into 5 of list C2 and removing category from 5 of list C4 I moved the category in 10 by working in the intersection to save edits. Check Special:Contributions/Yobot. (10 of C2-C4, 5 from of C3, of of A). -- Magioladitis (talk) 22:07, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
