Moving any incorrectly disambiguated pages in Category:National Football League players and subcategories. Any pages not disambiguated, will not be touched (and therefore not included in the list). The list of articles to be disambigutated correctly, is currently at User:Reedy Boy/American footballers. Pages on that list will have their disambiguation changed to "(American football)"

Discussion

Although the source is written, there seems to be a bug with the DotNetWikiBot framework - reported. So i am waiting on that being fixed before being able to do any proper trials. Reedy Boy 22:01, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Im just reworking the list to only include 3 of the disambiguations (down to 780). Im also going to take that list, and make a list of the "target pages", to see if any already exist. If any do exist, i'll remove them from the list, and therefore not move using the bot. That will solve where the target page already exists. Then i will look for any other duplicate names in the list, and will remove those. I will then report back when i have the list of articles to move/rename. User:Reedy Boy/American footballers now has 608 articles - exact duplicates removed, and any people with the same name removed. All pages checked so that all the moves can be done without causing problems to other pages. I have also changed the code to make sure the target page doesnt exist, and if it does, it wont move the page. Other pages, that need moving, will be sorted manually and lists checked manually before moving. These could be up to around another 400 based on the original list. So, the pages that are definately to be renamed/moved are those on User:Reedy Boy/American footballers. Reedy Boy 10:18, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
