The Vigla Formation is an Early Cretaceous geologic formation found mostly in Albania and Greece.

During the Late Cretaceous period, the uplifted margins of the grabens caused erosion of the pre-existing deposits of the Lower Cretaceous “Vigla Formation”.[1]

Fossil content

It contains radiolarian fossils dated to the late Barremian to middle Albian of the Cretaceous period.[2]
