Hello, Zman2007iam, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Adam and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Welcome

Welcome to Wikipedia; I noticed your note that you intend to work on National Firearms Act for a course. Best wishes on your endeavor, but also a small warning that this is a contentious article and treading carefully is advised. The article, you may have noticed, is under some sanctions which put editors on alert as it has been the focus of problematic editing in the past. You may make very innocent errors that others take as disruption.

If I may, I'd like to extend my help, if you would like to have edits previewed in your sandbox or personal drafts space. In the past I've worked with university courses that include Wikipedia work, have created some Wikipedia articles, and have some knowledge of firearms and firearms regulations as well. If you'd rather not, no problem. - Brianhe (talk) 01:02, 9 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
