Dancing Turtle
editI've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Dancing Turtle, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Dancing Turtle. If you remove the {{dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Fram 12:34, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi, I noticed that you removed the {{notability}} tag from this article, however your changes didn't address my concerns. There needs to be reliable secondary sources i.e. newspaper or magazine articles that are written about the subject to prove notability. You are probably in the best position to know whether such articles exist. Then primary sources such as the company website can be used to reference other information about the company. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Amp Fiddler.jpg)
editThanks for uploading Image:Amp Fiddler.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 02:25, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Dancing Turtle Media logo.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Dancing Turtle Media logo.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 12:06, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

References on The lani singers
editReferences in wikipedia use a specific format. Putting notes in HTML comments is not adding references to a page, you should, at a minimum use the citation format and provide reliable sources, not simply primary sources. A primary source would be the band's own web site, a reliable source would be a 3rd party publication such as a national newspaper.
- Once again, adding comments in a page is NOT adding sources. Please see WP:Cite for instructions on how to add acceptable citations. And please read WP:COI while you're at it. --Blowdart | talk 23:51, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
- Aha! Thank you! As you can hopefully see citations using the right format get listed at the end and are clickable. Your HTML comments never get seen unless someone is editing. Thanks for adding "proper" citations. --Blowdart | talk 14:34, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Dancing Turtle Media
editI have nominated Dancing Turtle Media, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dancing Turtle Media. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Blowdart | talk 22:10, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Dancing Turtle Media, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
- avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. It looks like every edit you have made is for a company you own, or for a musician connected with your company. wikipedia is not here to promote your business and the conflict of interest you exhibit is not good. Please stop. Blowdart | talk 22:11, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

An article you created maybe deleted soon: Tools which can help you
editThe article you created: Dancing Turtle Media may be deleted from Wikipedia.
There is an ongoing debate about whether your article should be deleted here:
The faster you respond on this page, the better chance the article you created can be saved.
Finding sources which mention the topic of your article is the very best way to avoid an article being deleted {{Findsources3}}:
- Find sources for Dancing Turtle Media: google news recent, google news old, google books, google scholar, NYT recent, NYT old, a9, msbooks, msacademic ...You can then cite these results in the Article for deletion discussion.
Also, there are several tools and helpful editors on Wikipedia who can help you:
- 1. List the page on Article Rescue Squadron. You can get help listing your page on the Article Rescue Squadron talk page.
- 2. At any time, you can ask any administrator to move your article to a special page. (Called userfication)
- 3. You can request a mentor to help explain all of the complex rules that editors use to get a page deleted: Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User. But don't wait for a mentor to respond to you before responding on the article for deletion page.
- 4. When trying to delete a page, veteran editors love to use a lot of rule acronyms. Don't let these acronyms intimidate you. Here is a list of acronyms you can use yourself: WP:Deletion debate acronyms which may support the page you created being kept.
If your page is deleted, you also have many options available. Good luck! Ikip (talk) 03:27, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

Terminology
editI would accept that "independence activist" is an improvement on "freedom fighter", but the notion that it's not secessionism because these individuals and groups don't accept the incorporation into Indonesia misses the point that (unlike the East Timor case) the incorporation of WNG into Indonesia has long had and continues to have extensive official international recognition. --Merbabu (talk) 01:08, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
Also, POV requires that we remove any moral comment from the article or the notion that one side or the other is right or wrong. Currently, much of the writing in the Western New Guinea takes such an argumentative and moralistic tone, and is selective about the viewpoints provided. --Merbabu (talk) 01:17, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
- I think you have just shown what half the problem is with the West Papuan situation. In your eyes, because the international community recognise Indonesian soverignity over West Papua (mainly because the majority of them have multi-national interests and arms deals with Indonesia), you are using that as a means of justifying a declassification of their struggle.
- The fact is that Papuans do not recognise themselves as Indonesian. They never have and never will. Surely it is on the human side how something like this should be defined, not on the governmental/political side. Why not give recognition to the Papuans view on this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zevion (talk • contribs) 01:19, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
- Any *notable* and *verifiable* view can indeed be provided. But, providing one party's view is a whole lot different to stating these as the sole facts of the topic as you edits suggest. If one has a partisan view, one must be very careful in how one edits. --Merbabu (talk) 01:28, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

Issues
editThe reality is that Indonesia is as far removed from democracy as can be. It has a pitiful reputation for human rights, is riddled with corruption, racketting, prostitution. And lets not get onto the genocides of the people of East Timor and Aceh while we're at it, or the ongoing one that is being committed on your country's doorstep in West Papua now. The human rights of each of us are denied, if the human rights of others are denied.
If you indeed have a religious fervour for your perception of reality - well good luck to you. Simply put wikipedia is not for you if you feel you can convert your attitude to editing. Try a blog. It is an online encyclopedia if you have missed that. We have particular standards and yours, by extension from what you say simply cannot co-exist with our standards. Either abide by the NPOV policy or please try something else - thanks SatuSuro 00:45, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Lentil As Anything
editA tag has been placed on Lentil As Anything requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb1 (talk) 00:35, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:Fbop.png
editThanks for uploading File:Fbop.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 23:40, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
The article Dominic Brown (Filmmaker) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- no evidence of notability
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:08, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Official Dancing Turtle Media Logo.jpg
editA tag has been placed on File:Official Dancing Turtle Media Logo.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Dancing Turtle Group, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.dancingturtle.co.uk.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Olympic badminton...
editRegarding this edit of yours to the Indonesian badminton team article, I trust you will be making similar updates to the corresponding Chinese and Korean articles as soon as you have a moment. Ie, since you’re a good editor here to improve the wikipedia website, and not as a poor editor here solely to promote a particular cause or point of view.
Or, was it specifically the Indonesian team to which you wanted to draw (negative) attention? Indonesian badminton would be a rather odd choice given all your previous edits were either WP:SPA edits relating to West Papua or your own WP:COI promotions of your personal endeavours as a producer. --Merbabu (talk) 03:31, 8 August 2012 (UTC)

Otherwise referred to as "bullshit" in places not subject to WP:CIVIL policy. Please show that you are here to improve the encyclopaedia by fixing it yourself. Other editors shouldn't need to do it for you, and are not likely to be very happy about having to do so. --Merbabu (talk) 04:09, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
- Forget your obvious spa and pov tendencies for a moment, and your clueless and juvenile assumptions about me, the fact is your recent edits to the benny wenda page remain false. If you want to put the removal of his name from Interpol in, great. That's verifiable and relevant (to the wenda article at least). If you want to put partisan commentary, and falsify statements (or at best falsify by misconstruing) then that's a problem that won't stand. It does no favours for your credibility on Wikipedia and will likely come around to bite your ass (on Wikipedia anyway) in the future. Just saying. I'll raise the problems soon on the talk page. --Merbabu (talk) 20:58, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
