A guy saved by Jesus, you are invited to the Teahouse
Hi A guy saved by Jesus! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
Hi
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Based on your username and user page, I wanted to suggest you may wish to add yourself to one of these categories for Christian Wikipedians. Also, you may wish to join WikiProject Baseball, as that is the area in which a few of your first edits have come. If you ever need any help, my name is Ben (User:Go Phightins! here on Wikipedia), and you are more than welcome to contact me on my talk page. Happy editing, and God bless :-) Go Phightins! 22:22, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
- Hi. Thanks for the suggestions. I have already added myself to Category:Born-again Christian Wikipedians, and I will consider joining that WikiProject. God bless you too. :) --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 22:25, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
- I couldn't help but notice your username (which describes me also). Thank you for your baseball statistical edits. Bob305 (talk) 20:33, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
- Hi. That's awesome; it's always nice to meet a fellow follower of Christ. And no problem; baseball's my favorite sport and I'm trying my best to help keep the player articles as statistically up-to-date as possible. God bless :) --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 23:04, 2 June 2014 (UTC)

Thank you but actually this is my alternate account I use where I use on public wifi and on campus or any other place where I don't trust the wifi (ive been here since 2007 when I was 13 actually), also I get lazy on warning people sometimes and this was one of those times once again thank you! - Oh, sorry about that. I guess it would have been a good idea for me to read your user page before giving you that message. Good to know for future reference though. And you're welcome! --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 01:38, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
Removal of units from List of military special forces
Hello,
you recently reverted some of my changes to the list for the United States SFs, I'd like to inform you that most of the units on that page are not infact Special Force but Special Operations Forces (yes, there is a difference!). 95% of units with special operations in the title are not special forces but special operations forces. I have served with many SOFs and SFs and both of them have agreed withme and get annyed when they are given the wrong title! The US Marines, US Air Force and Coast Guard do not have any speical forces but have special operations forces like Recon or Pararescue. By all means they are SOFs but not SFs like the SEALs, Delta, Rangers or Green Berets!
Kind Regards,
Lachlan — Preceding unsigned comment added by Militaryhistoryguru (talk • contribs) 01:34, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
- No worries. Thank you for explaining. In the future, though, when making changes that involve removing content like that, it's always best to explain it in your edit summary. That way, you won't get reverted and have to make the edit again and also explain it to the user who reverted your edit. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 01:38, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
Thank you for listening and the advice, I will certainly do that next time I need to edit something. -- — Preceding unsigned comment added by Militaryhistoryguru (talk • contribs) 23:54, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
Sock tagging
I'm watching the puzzling aggression at User talk:Bbb23. I think you're clear now the tagging should be done by admins or SPI clerks, and you're only asking "why?". Is that right? If so, if you wait a few minutes without posting to his page anymore (to avoid any further inexplicable bad blood) I'll try to explain why I think the rule is the way it is. I type slowly, tho. --Floquenbeam (talk) 17:39, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, I'm asking why. I get that that's the rule but it honestly seems like one of the most pointless rules I've ever heard of. I actually e-mailed Bbb23 a few minutes ago because I still want an explanation but I don't want to edit war on his talk page. If you think you could explain it to me, though, go for it. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 17:41, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- I suspect there was nothing wrong with that particular tag on that particular page (I haven't looked), except that it's counter to the standard process. But there's a reason for the process. Sock tagging in general can be complicated and subject to interpretation, particularly in determining who the "master" is. Rather than have a rule that says "the easy stuff anyone can tag, and the complicated stuff requires an admin or SPI clerk", it takes up far less of everyone's time to have a rule that says "everything requires an admin or SPI clerk". Because otherwise you have to start arguing about where the boundary is between easy stuff and complicated stuff. The same theory is used to prevent anyone except Arbs and ArbCom clerks from editing an ArbCom page; in isolation, it wouldn't be a problem if Alice corrected someone else's spelling error, except then Bob wants to correct someone else's poor formatting, and Cindy thinks Doug is being rude and wants to redact his comment, and Doug thinks it's not rude and puts it back in... easier to just say "no thanks, we've got this". This is mostly just a guess by me; if you're still curious you could ask for the reason behind the process at WT:SPI, in case I missed a better reason.
- I'm not necessarily defending this approach, just describing it. And I can't leave without also saying that I generally find sock tagging a waste of time, so even if you could do it, it probably wouldn't be worth your time. --Floquenbeam (talk) 17:50, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- Well, the reason why I tagged User:Angela Merkel is sexy as the sockmaster is because that account was registered before the other associated ones. And I don't see why it wouldn't be important to keep track of a user's sockpuppets. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 17:53, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- You might have missed my overarching point: I'm not arguing this particular one wasn't easy or that you did it wrong; I'm saying the powers that be at SPI have come to the conclusion that it's easier in the long run for them to just handle all of it, the easy ones and the hard ones, rather than try to undo the occasional incorrect tagging of the hard ones that would probably happen if everyone could apply the tags. Frankly, SPI work is unrewarding and sucks, and I'm willing to give SPI people pretty wide lattitude in how they want to run their area, even if it runs a little counter to traditional "wiki" philosophy. It doesn't explain the strange aggression you encountered, but the end result is I'd leave it to them. --Floquenbeam (talk) 18:02, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
It looks like Floq has done a reasonable job explaining to you the thinking behind what I told you, although he's obviously not very happy with my attitude (not the first time). Just wanted to add a few comments. I am not better than you are because I'm an admin or because I'm a checkuser. In both instances some of my responsibilities are different from yours, and my permissions are more extensive, but that doesn't make me "better". You're not the first editor who likes to tag userpages, which might explain some of my "aggression" as I deal with it more often than I'd like. There are many components that go into a decision whether to tag a userpage, and the admin, clerk, or checkuser has wide discretion when to tag and how. If I see an editor tag a userpage, sometimes I leave it alone, but if I have to figure out (a) whether it could be tagged that way and (b) whether there might be a reason the blocking admin didn't tag it, I revert the editor's tagging. Finally, I'm not fond of protracted discussions on Wikipedia. Indeed, I avoid ANI as there almost is no such thing as a short discussion there. To the extent I offended you by my "attitude", I apologize. I mulled it over before I even saw this discussion and felt I reacted too harshly.--Bbb23 (talk) 18:14, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- I appreciate and accept your apology. I understand that you weren't trying to imply that you were better than me, but you're right that that's how I interpreted it because of the attitude. I'll let it go because it's really not that important though. Anyways, I wanted to inform you that one of the socks actually re-added the tag to their own talk page, in case you think it should be reverted in this case. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 18:27, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- I reverted the edit, thanks. BTW, I never received an e-mail from you.--Bbb23 (talk) 18:35, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hmm, that's odd. Maybe there was a technical problem and it failed to send. But it was basically asking the same questions I had been asking you on your talk page, and now that I have had those questions answered, it's not a big deal anymore. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 18:46, 4 June 2015 (UTC)

Miss Universe Edit
The mention of "Miss Earth" on the Miss Universe page is a way for a minor pageant to market itself by tagging along with established major worldwide contests like Miss World and Miss Universe. It is unfair to other international pageants like Miss International, Miss Grand International, Miss Intercontinental, Miss Supranational etc.
Wikipedia should be a source for accurate information not a tool for minor pageants like Miss Earth to market itself by distorting reality or being the lone free rider. Either all other minor international pageants should be mentioned in the article or none. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fanofmissworld (talk • contribs) 21:43, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you for explaining. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 22:17, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
Any reason why you shouldn't be blocked for edit warring too? --NeilN talk to me 05:01, 21 June 2015 (UTC)
- Because the IP was going against WP:BASEBALL standard practice, making personal attacks, and then blatantly vandalizing the page. I thought the 3RR didn't count for reverting vandalism? --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 05:04, 21 June 2015 (UTC)
- A revert for "going against WP:BASEBALL standard practice" is not exempt from WP:3RR. [1], [2], [3], [4]. The only reason I'm not blocking you is because the IP veered off into pure disruption. In the future, please stop reverting before you break WP:3RR and use the talk page (not edit summaries) to discuss and point to prior relevant discussions. --NeilN talk to me 05:12, 21 June 2015 (UTC)
You can't use your "opinion" that it was vandalism (even if it was), that opens up a huge subjective view as to what is or isn't vandalism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Angus31 (talk • contribs) 05:42, 21 June 2015 (UTC)
Hey, NeilN, I'd just like to apologize for how I acted with that edit war a few nights ago. I apologize for being smug and I recognize now that the IP's edits (with the exception of the blatant vandalism) were in good faith, and that I should have stopped reverting at three. I'm grateful that you decided not to block me, and in the future, I will do all I can to avoid edit wars. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 04:12, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
- No problem. I know how irritating it is to have a random editor show up and start editing against accepted practice. If you can point to a discussion where editors came to a consensus on formatting, content, etc., that makes it easier to deal with the situation. --NeilN talk to me 11:20, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

Rollback
I have granted the "rollbacker" permission to your account. After a review of some of your contributions, I believe you can be trusted to use rollback for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, contact me and I will remove it. Good luck and thanks. – Gilliam (talk) 04:07, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you, Gilliam! I actually requested rollback a little under two months ago but was denied because I didn't have enough experience reverting vandalism, and I was actually going to request it again soon. Thanks and I'll do my best to put it to good use! --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 04:12, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for your help. You may want to consider enabling WP:TWINKLE because it makes warning vandals much easier.– Gilliam (talk) 04:15, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

Stop changing the info he already sign a contract with lakers so stop damn! Veltrez15 (talk) 22:30, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
- No, Veltrez15, Russell has not signed a contract with the Lakers. He has been drafted by them, but that does not automatically mean that he is signed to a contract with them. I did a Google search on him and there is nothing in the news about him actually signing a contract yet. Per WP:CRYSTAL, the infobox is not to say that he is on the Lakers until he actually has signed with them, which he has not. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 22:37, 28 June 2015 (UTC)

Please see Talk:Americas#Language Order. You, like the IP, provided no justification for the revert which is why I have left you this notice. Thanks! Dustin (talk) 15:34, 29 June 2015 (UTC)
Karl Anthony towns
In the section on his high school career it states a 3.96 GPA out of a possible 4.87. It's attributed to source #5. I checked the NY Times article and makes no mention of a 4.87 scale. It makes no mention at all . It seems this edit is merely an attempt to vandalize his academic reputation. Frankly, I am concerned there were prejudicial motivations for such.
But I'm not sure how it can be changed Brandonmusic (talk) 01:52, 30 June 2015 (UTC)

User:Ptb1997 is refusing to listen...again
Hi, A guy saved by Jesus; I hope you are doing well.
If you're unaware of how the NASCAR WikiProject functions, we log all drivers' results in tables on the respective driver's article. The template for the Daytona 500 results table can be found here (and to confirm that I do not own the tables, other users (here and here) have the same templates in their sandbox).. As you can see, there is a parameter for the driver's car number in the main Sprint Cup table, but not in the Daytona 500 table. User:Ptb1997 started to add the numbers to the Daytona 500 tables for several drivers (as can be seen here) and I left him a message on his talk page asking him to either stop adding them or go to the WikiProject talk page to discuss the issue. Instead, he promptly reverted my message. I left him a second message asking him if he even read the first, which has also been reverted without any further input or discussion from him. I'm not sure this warrants a block (yet), but since you appear to be far more knowledgeable about ANI than I am, I thought I'd ask you to A) give me some advice and B) keep an eye out for him in the future in case you run into him again. Thanks, --Bentvfan54321 (talk) 17:28, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
- I'm not refusing to listen. I'm listening very well. I do get that I can't add the car numbers to those tables. I think it's because that those numbers are in the results table above the Daytona 500 results table. I'm sorry. Ptb1997 (talk) 17:32, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
- @Ptb1997: Thanks, but it would still be helpful if you would respond to my messages and let me know that you understand rather than just blanking your page (especially on the second message, since I was trying to find out if you even read the first). --Bentvfan54321 (talk) 17:55, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
- Okay, I'll try to do that from now on. Ptb1997 (talk) 17:57, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
- To further add to the point, Ptb1997 has been persistently making unconstructive edits to the 2012 Daytona 500 article (which has been nominated at GAN) by removing sourced material as shown here and here. I, like Bentvfan54321, left him a message on his talk page to inform him to advise him to make an edit summary to explain his changes. However, he decided to revert my message without any discussion and made unexplained reversions of the article which is shown here and here. Ptb1997 also left a message saying he was "tired" of me reverting to the article's previous state and I said that his behavior on Wikipedia was not acceptable and he later deleted my message. @Bentvfan54321: I would have to agree with your view that Ptb1997 needs to be kept an eye on as he could cause larger problems in the future. A guy saved by Jesus would Ptb1997's behavior warrant a block? Z105space (talk) 18:26, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
- @Z105space: I'm not an admin, but some of his editing patterns are clearly disruptive, and if they continue as such, I'd recommend reporting him to the administrators' noticeboard. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 18:56, 5 July 2015 (UTC)

Why are you deleting statistics.
I edited information for the Mike Trout page mentioning that he won back to back all star MVPs. Why did you remove that statistic? Chippewa69 (talk) 04:12, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

Nolan Arenado
Hello. I'm not sure if I'm using this right. This is in regards to the "Sharknado" nickname for Nolan Arenado. If you read the article that is cited, nowhere does it say that is his official nickname. Also, I've talked with him personally as I run Rockies Zingers (which covers the Rockies for ESPN) and he dislikes that nickname. You can also browse the web for MLB and Denver Post articles saying it's not his nickname. I thought it more appropriate to correct the verbiage to "some fans think it should be his nickname" instead of saying it's his official nickname.

- Thank you for informing me of this. After reading the cited article, I see that you are correct that it doesn't say his official name is Sharknado. However, for future reference, saying something like "I've talked with him personally" is an example of original research, which is not usable for the content of articles. Information such as this about living persons must be published in a reliable source for it to be included in an article. However, I did go ahead and remove the Sharknado information from Arenado's article because it really doesn't add anything useful to the article to say that some fans want to give him that nickname. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 17:23, 22 July 2015 (UTC)
Edit of the America article.
I would like to know what policies made you revert my edit of the article, it is time to clarify the name that has been used wrong in only one of the countries not only of the continent, but of the world. This all goes back to the Monroe Doctrine and it is unfair. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dnilox (talk • contribs)
- First of all, your edit was problematic because it created links to articles on Wikipedia that don't exist. Second, North and South America are universally recognized as separate continents, so per the verifiability policy, the article must reflect that. Also, please sign your talk page comments by putting four tidles (~~~~) at the end of them, which automatically generates a signature with your username and the date and time of your comment. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 21:04, 22 July 2015 (UTC)
I didn't know about the links I got broken, my apologies for that. About your second point, I have to ask again, where does it say that America is the U.S.? The United States OF America is not even North America if you want to look it from the point you talk about. North America is comprised of Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, you also forgot Central America and the Caribbean. This is the reason of my edit and I would like to have it corrected with such links in order. Dnilox (talk) 21:13, 22 July 2015 (UTC)
- The article is called "The Americas," and the lead sentence says that the Americas are "the combined continental landmasses of North America and South America." That is the subject of the article, not the U.S. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 21:21, 22 July 2015 (UTC)

Cole Hamels
I am Watching MLB network on One tv ESPn on Phone and Have radio on COle ham els has been traded to the rangers they confirmed it. Now please stop revising edits that are correct — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jdkonz (talk • contribs) 02:31, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
- Jdkonz, even if you are telling the truth about that, those sources are not sufficient. No trade is considered official until it is announced by the teams involved with it. Also, I did a Google News search on Hamels, and the closest thing to him being traded that I found is that the Rangers are "close" to trading for him. Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 02:34, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
ITS BEEN CONFIRMED GEESH THIS IS WHY I Quit for a while now I just am getting pissed people just want to do it themselves so they can say they edited a players profile on a huge trade. - Jdkonz, CBS Sports is not an official source. Trades are not considered official until they have been announced by the teams involved in them, as I said. It has absolutely nothing to do with "people wanting to do it themselves so they can say they edited a player's profile on a huge trade." It has everything to do with the verifiability and premature information policies. Also, please sign your comments. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 02:40, 30 July 2015 (UTC)

Latos Trade
I have been doing these changes because in multiple reports, not just one source, they've already made it official. Even in ESPN they've announced it as official.
— Preceding unsigned comment added by 1remains (talk • contribs)
- 1remains, you completely missed my point. The only sources that have the authority to make a trade official are the teams involved in the trade. And none of the Dodgers', Braves', and Marlins' Twitter accounts say anything about the trade yet. Other websites report premature info about trades all the time; recall last night's Carlos Gómez–Wilmer Flores trade that was reported by a bunch of unofficial sources and then didn't actually happen? Also, please remember to sign your talk page comments. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 19:18, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
- The best source to use for trades is the official MLB transaction line, Twitter is okay but I find the official wire is accepted by many more people as reputable. (http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/transactions/#month=7&year=2015) Thanks, Garchy (talk) 20:28, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. - Yes, I accepted your apology after that happened. However, your original account is blocked indefinitely. If you want a chance at editing Wikipedia again, you need to try to get your original account unblocked instead of making a new one to try to evade your block. That report is nothing against you personally; it's simply about Wikipedia policy. Also, I never said anything about being your friend. - (talk page stalker) @Djfomanohyeaikn: Please understand that socking is counter-productive, since it makes even more unlikely that the main account will be unblocked. Please request an unblock through that account instead of evading the block. GABHello! 21:04, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- Look, I really appreciate the kind things you've said about me. I might become an administrator one day, but it's not something I really want right now, especially with how busy I am in real life with other things. Anyways, if you want to try again at getting your original account unblocked, you have the option of submitting a request to the Unblock Ticket Request System. But in order for your request to be considered, you need to demonstrate an understanding of why your account was blocked in the first place. I would highly recommend reading the guide to appealing blocks before you submit your request. The main reason your account was blocked was because you were uncivil to several editors, and if you want to get unblocked, you need to make sure that that won't be an issue going forward. Also, as GeneralizationsAreBad said, socking is counterproductive and is not going to help your chances of getting unblocked. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 21:07, 5 March 2016 (UTC)

The word "some" failed V.[5] Please try to find a wording that is sourced. Thanks. QuackGuru (talk) 18:57, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
- Come on, QuackGuru. There is absolutely no problem with the word "some" if multiple sources say the exact same thing, because some and multiple mean the same thing. Since we do have multiple sources for the claim, "some" is perfectly fine and multiple people in the talk page discussion agree. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 18:59, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
- That is a SYN violation to combine different sources together. I was warned about this about 8 years ago. Please do not revert the SYN violation back in. Thanks. QuackGuru (talk) 19:00, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
- I read WP:SYN, and I don't see how that applies here. It's logical to conclude that "some" have described the Mannings as "football's royal family" if there are multiple sources which refer to them that way. "Some" would only fail verification if only one source could be found with that information. SYN refers to combining info from multiple sources to reach a conclusion that is not explicitly stated by the sources, but that's not even what's being done here. Because each individual source says the exact same thing about the Mannings, it's self-explanatory to say that some describe them that way. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 19:09, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
- Each individual source must verify the claim. You did not provide V from each source to verify the word "some". QuackGuru (talk) 19:20, 13 March 2016 (UTC)

Peterborough Poet Laureate 2016
Hi, you tagged Peterborough Poet Laureate 2016 for speedy deletion the very same minute it was created. This is inappropriate, as the writer has had no chance to finish what they were writing. They are likely to get an edit conflict and not know what to do. Please wait an hour before tagging for A7, A1 or A3. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 02:11, 17 March 2016 (UTC)
- Graeme Bartlett, I was not aware that there is supposed to be a certain amount of time to wait before tagging a new page for speedy deletion. However, I did a Google search on the article's subject and it did not yield any results that really make it apparent how the subject is notable enough for an article here. That was why I tagged it so soon. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 02:15, 17 March 2016 (UTC)

March 2016
Hello A guy saved by Jesus. Thanks for patrolling new pages – it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know, however, that you shouldn't tag pages as lacking context (CSD A1), content (CSD A3), or significance (CSD A7) moments after they are created, as you did at Wasimabraham. It's best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Tagging such pages in a very short space of time may drive away well-meaning contributors, which is not good for Wikipedia. Attack pages (G10), blatant nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course be tagged and deleted immediately. Thanks. IagoQnsi (talk) 04:03, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
- IagoQnsi, you're not the first one to tell me this. However, when I find a page that I think should be speedy deleted, I don't just tag it based on its content. I also do a Google search on the page's name to see if any results come up that assert the notability of the page's topic, and in this particular case, I even searched it on YouTube as well, since the page is supposedly about a YouTuber. No meaningful results came up in either search, which is why I tagged the page so soon. There have indeed been some cases where I was thinking of tagging a page very shortly after its creation, but decided not to because searching the name of it on Google showed that it could possibly be notable enough for an article here. This was not one of those cases. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 04:06, 18 March 2016 (UTC)

Hey
I was wondering how you became such a good Wikipedia editor! How did you manage to get to where you are now? Any tips would be huge! Also are you a Tampa Bay Rays fan??? (Jasonski (talk) 22:07, 19 April 2016 (UTC))
- @Jasonski: It basically becomes easier as you become more experienced with it. I also happened to read almost all of Wikipedia's policies and guidelines before I registered and started editing (which most people don't do, from what I've noticed), so I was less prone to making the typical mistakes that I've seen new editors make. For the record, it's never a good idea to mention other editors in an actual Wikipedia article; talk pages are fine, but if people browsing Wikipedia see a random editor mentioned in the article, it's very confusing for the person reading it, which should definitely be avoided. If you have questions about specific policies/guidelines, I'd be happy to answer them. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 03:17, 23 April 2016 (UTC)
- @A guy saved by Jesusi: Oh okay I'm truly sorry about that, I won't make that mistake again! Promise! I was wondering tho, how did you see my msg right away? - @A guy saved by Jesusi: Ah I see, how do I make a watchlist for myself? And I was wondering what your watch pages are? Like what type of pages are usually set on an average wiki editors watch page. Also you know I'm also a guy saved by jesus irl so I mean I wouldnt mind some suggestions on watch pages to watch! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jasonski (talk • contribs)
- @Jasonski: Well, near the top of any Wikipedia page, next to where the "read," "edit," and "view history" links are, there is a star icon that you can click on. If you click on it, it will add the page you're reading to your watchlist. Also, at the very top of any Wikipedia page, there are some options you can click on that are related your account, one of which is "preferences." In your preferences under "watchlist" options, you can check off the option that says "Add pages and files I edit to my watchlist," which is what I personally do. Watchlist is also one of the links you can click on at the top of any Wikipedia page, and it will bring you to your own watchlist, where you can see what edits have recently been made to the pages that are on it. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask, but please don't forget to sign your talk page comments. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 03:51, 23 April 2016 (UTC)

- @CookieMonster755: Thank you for the compliment, and God bless you too. As far as Freemasonry goes, it is not a religion. It is simply a fraternity that welcomes men from all different religions, but there are in fact a lot of principles taught in Freemasonry that are directly based on Biblical stories and principles. Anyways, happy Wikipedia editing to you as well! --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 18:40, 18 May 2016 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at Howland High School shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. - @Uamaol: Seriously? I was reverting vandalism by an IP who just got blocked for it. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 00:32, 25 May 2016 (UTC)
- Doesn't matter. You exceeded the 3 revert rule. You can potentially make a situation worse by not involving others. Just a note. Uamaol (talk) 00:34, 25 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Uamaol: At WP:3RRNO, the fourth exemption on the list is "Reverting obvious vandalism—edits that any well-intentioned user would agree constitute vandalism, such as page blanking and adding offensive language." Also, I had already reported the IP to WP:AIV at the time of the reverts. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 00:38, 25 May 2016 (UTC)
- I've been told off by admins before to do the exact same thing. But as a fellow INxP I shall leave you off ;) Uamaol (talk) 00:53, 25 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Uamaol: Without knowing the specifics of the cases where admins warned you about it, I can't say whether you were right or wrong, but all I can say is that in this case, the IP was making purely disruptive edits that needed to be reverted ASAP, and I feel that any admin seeing those edits would consider all my reverts to be exempt from the 3RR. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 04:19, 25 May 2016 (UTC)

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to TobyMac, did not appear constructive and has been or will be undone. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Not having an article does not preclude a subject from being included in the infobox. Please show me that I'm wrong by quoting the line from the template's documentation: {{Infobox musical artist}}. Cheers. Walter Görlitz (talk) 04:43, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Walter Görlitz: Well, here's something from that template's documentation (bolded for emphasis): "This field is for professional relationships with other musicians or bands that are significant and notable to this artist's career." That seems to imply that at the very least, the criteria for inclusion in that field is that the artist listed is not solely notable for their collaborations with the artist whose article they're listed on. Does Truett have any solo music that would make him notable outside of his appearances in his father's music? --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 04:50, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
- So what you're saying is that it does not explicitly state that they must be notable musicians, i.e. have an article. Thanks. No need to answer your question as you didn't answer mine. Cheers and blessings. Walter Görlitz (talk) 04:54, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Walter Görlitz: Actually, I did answer your question, but at any rate, I have started a discussion on the template's talk page to see how others feel about non-notable artists being in the associated acts field. You're welcome to contribute to that discussion if you want. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 05:13, 31 May 2016 (UTC)

In the future, if you see an obvious trend of idiocy like at Yordano Ventura and Manny Machado, just ask for page protection at WP:RFPP. Some admins give a hard time about reverting repeatedly even if it is complete nonsense. Those are both WP:BLPs so it's not going to require much for it to be protected. Hopefully the nonsense should be over in three days when the page returns to normal. But thanks otherwise. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 01:39, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Ricky81682: Both pages already had outstanding protection requests at WP:RFPP. Thank you for protecting them. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 01:42, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

Kevin Durant
How can I changed Kevin Durant's team to Golden State? It still shows him as a free-agent. It won't let me change it for some reason. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TexanAstroDynamo (talk • contribs)
- @TexanAstroDynamo: Kevin Durant is not yet officially a member of the Warriors, because NBA free agent signings do not become official until tomorrow, July 7th. Durant's page is currently semi-protected because tons of editors were changing his team to the Warriors even though the signing is not yet official, which is why you cannot currently edit it. Also, please start new talk page sections at the bottom of the talk page, not the top, and please remember to sign your talk page comments. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 14:53, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
Mets1237
Hi, back in January of this year, the above editor, who was blocked as a sockmaster, edited your Talk page. Do you remember any difficulties you had with this editor (or their sock Mets12372)? Thanks.--Bbb23 (talk) 14:23, 10 July 2016 (UTC)
- @Bbb23: I don't think that I interacted with that editor under either of those usernames, but after looking at Mets1237's talk page, I'm almost certain that they were a sock of Lmnodogsuphomie101. I first interacted with Lmnodogsuphomie101 in late July of last year, when I was reverting his edits of repeatedly adding premature/unofficial trade information to the page of Carlos Gómez. After being blocked temporarily for his disruptive editing, he resorted to personal attacks against me on his talk page, leading to him having access to it revoked for the duration of his block. After his block expired, he apologized to me for how he acted, and shortly after, I took a break from Wikipedia for unrelated reasons. During the time I was away from editing, Lmnodogsuphomie101 was blocked indefinitely for continued personal attacks and disruptive editing. Mets1237 had a very similar style of editing as Lmnodogsuphomie101, and they also edited very similar articles. In early March, Lmnodogsuphomie101 created a new sock, Djfomanohyeaikn, and immediately admitted on my talk page that he was a sock. Since then, he hasn't had any more admitted socks, but based on similar articles edited and similar patterns of harassing me very soon after registering, I believe that the following accounts may also be related to Lmnodogsuphomie101: Habib guy that can tour basebakl, James bondis man that can dance like... a yea ah man, Pete fisher that is a man, AhadNdd445, and Dat guy who can do just about almost all wishes anyone can grant. However, I do not believe that Jasonski is the same person as Lmnodogsuphomie101, because although they both have patterns of harassing me, Jasonski's editing style before getting blocked was very different. I hope that this information helps. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 20:01, 10 July 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for taking the time to give me some history and your opinions. I can't look at any of the older socks because all of those accounts are Stale. As for the recent accounts, the ones you mention starting with Habib guy that can tour basebakl and the Jasonski accounts, are Technically indistinguishable.--Bbb23 (talk) 21:57, 10 July 2016 (UTC)
Vandal
I was looking at the Dellin Betances page and there is a vandal called Jasonski 22 on the page. I wanted to make sure he was blocked so I checked his talk page, and I found that he made a disturbing message about you so I reverted it. Just to let you know.Charlie Jeff (talk)
- @Charlie Jeff: Yeah, I received a notification about it because he mentioned me in his comment. That guy is a vandal/sockpuppeteer who hates me because I always get his sock accounts blocked, and he basically stalks my contributions. Thank you for reverting his comment. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 01:47, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
Lmnodogsuphomie101
Hey A guy saved by Jesus. I am Lmnodogsuphomie101. Before you freak out I would like to tell you something. One year ago today the Carlos Gomez incident happened. A lot has happened to me in the past year. I am a Cristian to. You don't have to report me to the international against vandalism because I won't edit. I am here to explain to you and all admins that I am not jasonski. I have no idea who that is. Also, all the other accounts you mentioned are also not me. You said that you think I am some guy named Mets1237. Although I am a mets fan I am not Mets1237. I haven't socked since the account I created in March and I talked to you. I am not here to be mean to you or anything. I am telling you this stuff to help you and other admins. One year ago today we fist met. When I made the edit on Carlos Gomez and you reverted my edit and then left the message to me I honestly thought "who is this clown." During that time I was going throw some tuff times and I still am. I know you forgave me but once again I really want to tell you how sorry I am. Sometimes I even have nightmares about what happened. What happened one year ago today will haunt me for the rest of my life. I bet you are wondering why didn't I use the unblock ticket syetem. I actually don't want that account unblocked for a number of reasons. 1. I had bad memories on that account of how I treated you. 2. I was blocked for a reason so I have to respect that block. 3. I moved on from Wikipedia. At first I stalked your talk page and I still do because I really respect you. When I came back in March I wanted to talk to you tell you how sorry I am. Once I was blocked from editing forever I was so mad that I bad inappropriate messages on my talk page so my access was revoked. I am not here to request to be unblocked to be clear. I am here to reflect over the past year and to help you and other admins on the vandalism against you. To sum things up I am so sorry about how I acted one year ago today and on the Lmnodogsuphomie101 account. Also none of the accounts you mentioned accept that one in March. That was the only sock account I made. Also I will not make a single edit unless you ask me to. I will always be here when you need me. If you have any questions and you want me to respond I will respond. If you don't ask me to reply I will never make a single more edit. Also if any admins or other users have any questions then feel free to ask me. To be clear I don't want to make a single edit or comment again unless somebody asks me. If someone reads this comment before A guy saved by Jesus please do not remove this. Sorry to take up your time and I hope this reply helps you. Sincerely and always there for you, Lmnodogsuphomie101 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.143.224.4 (talk) 17:31, 29 July 2016 (UTC)

- @Patwake30: My vandalism warning actually had nothing to do with you changing where he was born. I was referring to edits like these: [6], [7], [8], [9], [10], where you either removed content for no reason or changed the image of him to an image of some random person. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 21:56, 8 December 2016 (UTC)

- @Patwake30: In that case, yes, you can change it back to Hebron. I'm not sure why it said Marlborough in the first place. However, for future reference, a statement such as "he lived about a mile away from me and went to the same high school" is an example of original research, so it would not be sufficient if it was your only source for the information. Marcus Peters Edit
Hello, I'm confused why you deleted my edit on Marcus Peters signing with the Rams, I could be mistaken I just saw it on NFL.com if you would mind explaining I would appreciate it, thank you. PhoenixRancor (Talk) —Preceding undated comment added 18:29, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
- @PhoenixRancor: As I said in my edit summary, NFL offseason trades do not become official until March 14. To further explain why, this is because March 14 is the first day of the new league year for the NFL, which means that teams can discuss trades and agree to them before that, but the trades are not officially considered complete until the new league year begins. This is the same reason why Alex Smith's page still says he plays for the Chiefs; they agreed to trade him to the Redskins last month, but the trade doesn't become official until March 14. The same thing applies to Peters; the Chiefs and Rams have agreed on a trade for him, but it cannot officially be completed until March 14. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 18:36, 23 February 2018 (UTC)

Sixth anniversary here
5 years ago today
This is Lmnodogsuphomie101. It’s been exactly 5 years since the Wilmer Flores trade incident. That was a day that changed my life. My encounter with you is one I will forever remember. I was a young 14 year old kid in 2015, and now I’m a 19 year old college student. I am also a Christian as well. I would just like to tell you that you changed my life since that day, and I’m truly inspired by you. I would also like to confess to you that I made all those fake accounts in the year after the incident. I was a young and immature young teenager. I didn’t hate you or anything, but I just had a sort of obsession with you that I couldn’t stop. I posted a lot of hurtful things on your Wikipedia page and talk page. I created a lot of fake accounts. I don’t know why I did that. I just had a sort of obsession with you, but I don’t know why I harassed you. I even created all those fake Jaosnski accounts. I stalked your talk page and after the real Jasonski, who was not me, got blocked. I created all those fakes Jasonski sequels to further harass you. It was not out of anger or anything, but because I was really obsessed with you. I still often check your talk page and contributions. You haven’t been editing that much lately. I know this is really stalkish, but I’ve been searching for you for all this time. You may feel really creeped out, and I understand that, but I would really appreciate if you could please let me know you read this message. You will never know how much my life has changed since our first encounter. I feel like God set up that encounter, because my life has never been the same since then. I truly look at the day, July 30, 2015, the day we first talked, as a turning point in my life. I became a Christian because of you. I had heard about God and all before, but you are the sole reason why I became a Christian. I apologize for all the fake accounts I created to harass you in the year following our first encounter. I was just really immature and I couldn’t get you off my mind. You will never know how much you changed my life and I beg that you can just let me know that you read this. God bless, Lmnodogsuphomie101. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.194.203.26 (talk) 00:59, 31 July 2020 (UTC)
Happy First Edit Day!
6 years ago today
Greetings “A Guy Saved by Jesus”,
This is Lmnodogsuphomie101, and I’d like to point out that we met 6 years ago today on Wikipedia with the whole Wilmer Flores trade incident. I’m not sure if you’ll read this message, but I’d like to thank you for all you’ve done for me. When that incident happened I was just a young and immature teenager, and now I’m a rising junior in college. I have a great relationship with Jesus and I’m currently volunteering at my church. I credit a huge part of where I am today due to our encounter. I believe God set us up to meet on the fateful day which changed my life. Ever since that day 6 years ago, I have had a sort of obsession with you. In the year following our encounter, I would create several fake accounts where I did immature things to you and even insulted you. I really have no idea why I did this. It wasn’t because I hated you or anything, but rather because I was obsessed and fascinated with you. I currently occasionally edit Wikipedia under another account, as I am banned on all my previous accounts due to my actions years ago. I hope all is well in your life right now and that you’re continuing to walk in the Lord. I noticed you haven’t been active on Wikipedia since December 2019, so I’m not sure if you will ever read this. However, if you do, I just want you to know you made a huge impact on my life and I try to make that same impact on others.
Take care and God bless,
Lmnodogsuphomie101
