Orphaned non-free image (Image:ΜWiki .png)
editThanks for uploading Image:ΜWiki .png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Pagrashtak 21:48, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- To explain a little beyond the template above, the image is a derivative of two non-free images, so you are not able to release the image into the public domain. You may read further at Wikipedia:Non-free content. Pagrashtak 21:48, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- You do not own the copyright to everything you make. In particular, derivative works normally inherit the copyright of the source. Perhaps claiming the image as a parody would satisfy the fair use laws of the United States, but Wikipedia's non-free content policy is stricter and does not allow it. Pagrashtak 22:04, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- If you would like, you may add {{db-author}} to the image page to request deletion. Pagrashtak 22:07, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, I've deleted the image now. Wikipedia' image policies can often be frustrating to new users, but I'd like to thank you for keeping your cool and discussing with a level head—a courtesy we administrators are not always afforded. Pagrashtak 22:13, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

- By the way, are you familiar with commons:Main page Wikimedia Commons? It's a repository of free content images, also run by the Wikimedia Foundation. You may create a logo for your page from any free images you find there, assuming you are willing to release the created image under an appropriate license. (Generally, this means retaining the license of the source images, often GFDL, Creative Commons, or similar.) I'm not sure what you're asking for with the "self-authored made requests". - I see you haven't been welcomed, so I've retroactively welcomed you above. You may find some helpful links there. Pagrashtak 22:21, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Adoption
editI will be happy to adopt you. Marlith T/C 17:36, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
- Please respond on my talkpage if you wish to be adopted. Thank you. Marlith T/C 17:39, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
- Adoption is pretty much just training from a more experienced Wikipedian. To start it off. I would suggest reading the links on your welcome if you haven't already. Judging from you userpage, you already know how to format on Wikipedia. Thanks! Marlith T/C 19:13, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
- I see. What browser do you use? If you use firefox I think I have something that will make editing much more enjoyable. Marlith T/C 01:34, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
- Sure, go to WP:TWINKLE and WP:POPUPS and follow the instructions there to gain new abilities. These abilites will help you with maintenance tasks. Marlith T/C 01:42, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

Civility
editI would like to kick off this adoption program with a discussion of WP:CIVIL, one of our most important policies. Without civility from editors, the project will be doomed as more and more editors leave Wikipedia. Where editors are civil, they will work harmoniously with each other and in turn, make Wikipedia better. Marlith T/C 04:52, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
A new lesson

Regarding moving Movement to impeach George W. Bush
editHi YouWiki,
I've stepped in here by request at ANI. I've reverted your moving of Movement to impeach George W. Bush to Controversies surrounding George Bush. Please discuss on the talk page before doing such a controversial move. Happy editing, Snowolf How can I help? 14:56, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
A new lesson
editIn this next lesson I would like you to read WP:IMAGE. Please tell me when you are done so we can go into discussion about copyrights and so forth, thanks. I hope this will help you. I also would like to wish you a happy new year. Marlith 06:14, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Your username
editPlease go to Wikipedia:Changing username and make a request there. Since you moved your pages this seems to be invalid. Thanks. Marlith T/C 17:16, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
- I also will strongly not suggest using ☯µWiki☯ because it uses characters not found on a keyboard. It will be impossible to find you using the search box. I suggest you move this page back you YouWiki. Thanks Marlith T/C 01:03, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Wikiproj SC
editI noticed you tried to speedily delete the Wikiproject StarCraft page recently. Since that failed, might I suggest starting something over at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion. Be sure to include all Wikiproject stuff in the nomination (see Category:WikiProject_StarCraft) -- Sabre (talk) 22:06, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Inactive
editJust to let you know, I removed the user box indicating that you wish to be an admin because you haven't been active in a while. If you return and want t oreadd it please feel free to do so. I removed it because some people do look at the list to see if there are any qualified admin candidates.---Balloonman PoppaBalloon 22:38, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
