FC Barcelona seasons
editHi, I've created the FC Barcelona 2006-07 season and FC Barcelona 2007-08 season articles. Have you seen the FC Barcelona 2006-07 season article? If you have time, could you tell me what do you think about the information in that article? What's good and what's is not? Thanks.--ClaudioMB 19:10, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
Those are very informative, but I have two suggestions: 1)Use references (spelling?). They're very useful if you claim Henry has moved to Barca, but we haven't seen him wear his shirt yet. 2) In the Squad section, arrange them by their kit numbers by default. It's not very nice to see Ronaldinho below Messi, and then Belleti below both of them! YemeniteCamel 08:04, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
About Henry's transfer I was a bit ahead (I've fixed it). As you can see in his article, his transfer only depend on the medical exam (what is almost a formality, but still). About the source, there is the source description bellow the table. The squad is order by game start and position on pitch (from back right to front left), following last year's most frequent start. That way, the most important players appear first. If you like by number or name or any thing else, the table is sortable, so you just need click on the arrows next to the column title to do so. Thank you for your feed back. How about the FC Barcelona 2006-07 season article?--ClaudioMB 17:08, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Re: Oh, sorry!
editHi, thanks for writing. "Plying one's trade" is basically a fancy way of saying you're doing your job. For example, if you make cars for a living, you're plying your trade in the auto industry. It's hardly used nowadays; I just have an affinity for outdated expressions.
Google News (news.google.com) is a good way to search for player reports. Beemer69 00:42, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Graphics design
editI noticed your comments to Fir0002 above.
All it takes is practice.
Want some? :)
If so, let me know.
I've got a big project I need help on.

- Yea I'll be glad to help you! If you dropped by my Hebrew account (w:he:משתמש:הגמל התימני then you probably had seen my wiki-design there and some of my graphics work. YemeniteCamel (talk)
- Thank you for offering to help. Yes, I gladly accept.
- The main award we were working on had to be deleted, because the globe stand was discovered to be from an image from a commercial website. A version of the deleted image that hasn't been deleted yet, is:
- We need to create a globe stand from scratch, or find an acceptable image that has one in it and extract it.
- The rest of the components in the image above can be reused. (the globe, the puzzle pattern, the passport)
- If not, what do you use?
- If you email me your email address, I'll send you the working file, with all the layer information in it.
By the way, I'm open to other ideas, like ditching the globestand altogether in favor of some other design theme. We can start over from scratch, or use the remaining components in some other way. Having the Earth with puzzle pattern held up by Atlas would be cool. Or maybe the Earth hanging there in space with a person running around its edge.
I look forward to your reply.

- I'm most common with Photoshop - I've got one for over 4 years now, though I don't use it so often nowadays. I started using Inkscape, though my understanding of this application is minimal, and I still prefer the PS. I use Inkscpae when I'm desperate for SVGs, and even then those are very basic SVGs (as you can see in my wikimedia common gallery, here.
- I can try and draw a globe stand using Photoshop, and maybe even Inkscape. It's not that much of a problem.
- However, besides doing this, I don't know what is the purpose of the image. Will it be used in a portal? Where? Maybe it will give me new ideas. YemeniteCamel (talk) 21:41, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Maybe we could extract the globestand from this:
Can you colorize this so it looks like a normal photo?
The Transhumanist 21:45, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
The image will be used in an award. I'll be running a big collaboration/competition starting July 15th at the WP:AWC.
It looks like it will be a big event, and so its awards need to be impressive.
July 15th is approaching fast, and I'm starting to get nervous.

- Well, mate, I'm sorry to tell, but because of serious school-overload I'm going through right now, I managed only to draw a part of the globe, and I won't be capable of continuing this job in the near future. I'm sorry. YemeniteCamel (talk) 12:15, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
Your edit to Southern California was reverted
editHi. I reverted your edit to Southern California. I did not think it was vandalism or anything like that. It just seems like there is possibly more good to come of those links there than bad. Though I agree that having a link to earthquakes at the top of the page is somewhat in bad taste. It would be like linking the Florida article to hurricanes or Hawaii to volcanoes. Anyway, I added this as a discussion topic on the talk page of the article. Feel free to chime in with your concerns and thoughts. Have a good week! —Willscrlt ( “Talk” ) 14:07, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
- I had a feeling I'd get reverted... YemeniteCamel (talk) 19:21, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
- But at least it was by someone who actually listened to what you said, right? :-) I noticed from your contributions that you do a lot of work back and forth between en.wiki and he.wiki. That's great! If you need some help with getting templates copied over and working on he.wiki, please let me know. I enjoy developing templates that are transwiki compatible and multilingual. I haven't edited on he.wiki yet. I kind of get lost on ar.wiki--the whole right-to-left reading order and the way punctuation and everything works while editing is very confusing! The not being able to read or write the Hebrew language isn't a big deal for me, but but the way the computer jumbles everything up as I type drives me nuts. I've read about something that makes inputting easier, but I don't know how to get that to work. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. And thanks also for your contributions to en.wiki. —Willscrlt ( “Talk” ) 00:56, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
