Witten Is God
Thanks for adding the picture of Witten! I've moved the images in Quantum field theory and String theory to align with the point where he's mentioned in the text, and I've removed it from the Physics article, which doesn't mention him at all. Melchoir 08:22, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
Hello, I see you have been editing in certain pieces of content repeatedly to the Physics article. These edits have then been repeatedly removed by other editors, who cite that the things you are adding are not good additions. When things that are added are continually removed by other editors it gives a good indication that the content added is not agreeable with most people. If you disagree with the content that you add being removed then it is a good idea to start a discussion on the issue on the article talk page rather than continuing to edit back in your content. Repeatedly re-inserting rejected content without explanation can lead to misunderstandings, and can ultimately result in editors getting warnings. I would advise you to start a chapter on the above talk page if you feel that the content you wish added to the Physics page is a useful addition, stating why you think it is useful and why it should be kept. Best wishes. SFC9394 00:09, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

You have one last warning level before I refer you to admins who will ban you - it is as simple as that - please stop. SFC9394 10:24, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
Please stop and discuss your edits to the Physics article. If you contine, you will be blocked. –Joke 16:16, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
Image:Witten.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Witten.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Angr 09:42, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
Hello, Witten Is God. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Edward Witten new.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Witten Is God. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 03:02, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
