Welcome

Hello WickedFanAccount and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your contributions, such as the ones to Wicked (2024 film), do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox (but beware that the contents of the sandbox are deleted frequently) rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a Help desk, or you can click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! Happily888 (talk) 03:33, 16 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Your recent talk page comments on Talk:Wicked (2024 film) were not added to the bottom of the page. New discussion page messages and topics should always be added to the bottom. Your message may have been moved. In the future you can use the "New section" link in the top right. For more details see the talk page guidelines. Thank you. Happily888 (talk) 03:33, 16 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Wicked (2024 film). This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Happily888 (talk) 04:59, 16 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Gladiator II, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Happily888 (talk) 01:00, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

I literally just saw the movie at the AMC mystery movie. As did a lot of people who snapped pics and posted them online. That is how it is credited in the movie. Please don't remove my accurate contributions. Thank you. Here's the title card, by the way. WickedFanAccount (talk) 03:57, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
You must still provide a reliable WP:CITE; don't WP:OWN or use WP:OR. You must discuss on the talk page prior to re-addition, don't continue to WP:EW. Happily888 (talk) 06:32, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
THere are a lot of articles with onscreen alternate titles missing sources. Go after them. WickedFanAccount (talk) 07:08, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Usually those films are already released with the title wildly used or the sources confirming the onscreen title might be later in the lead. Also, WP:OSE and anyways neither is the case here. Happily888 (talk) 07:24, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. The thread is Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:WickedFanAccount reported by User:Happily888 (Result: ). Thank you. Happily888 (talk) 05:58, 16 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Why am I being accused of edit warring? It was MY contribution that was getting corrected???? WickedFanAccount (talk) 11:01, 16 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
If you don't understand what edit warring is yet, even after notifications above and these edit summaries, maybe you should read the policy again. Also, you don't WP:OWN any article or any of your particular revisions. Happily888 (talk) 12:28, 16 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
"An edit war occurs when editors who disagree about the content of a page repeatedly override each other's contributions."
I was the first one to changed the "1" to a "I". Someone came after my change, so they started the edit war. WickedFanAccount (talk) 04:59, 17 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

Hello, WickedFanAccount. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Wicked (2024 film), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Tyw7 (🗣️ Talk) — If (reply) then (ping me) 13:23, 18 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Tyw7 Huh? Which one of my edits was advertising, publicizing, or promoting someone. Are all of you off your rockers? WickedFanAccount (talk) 20:01, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Your name. Tyw7 (🗣️ Talk) — If (reply) then (ping me) 20:12, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'm not allowed to be a fan of something? I am not promoting anything.......... I am only adding/editing facts. WickedFanAccount (talk) 20:22, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for contravening Wikipedia's policy against harassment.
If you believe that there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  — rsjaffe 🗣️ 23:13, 20 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hello, WickedFanAccount,
As far as I can see, this block is based on you "outing" another editor by linking to an off-Wikipedia social media account and not on your editing. If you do decide to return and want to file an unblock request, I recommend stating that this will not happen again. Liz Read! Talk! 03:59, 21 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
