Getting started (Resolved)

edit

Okay, I'm new here. Is this where I'm suppose to set up my messages? I don't really work on here often, but would probably need a place for other members to leave messages... Will read through pages. Westcoastkitty77 (talk) 05:53, 1 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi - you may want to look at WP:User pages. However, also suggest you first read this section. Thanks.  7  05:58, 1 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Okay, thanks for the tips and links. --Westcoastkitty77 (talk) 07:10, 1 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

US government documents

edit

Could you please provide details on the document mentioned. TFD (talk) 15:42, 3 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please feel free to reply right here with details of what you think is a forged documement. You can also place this exact text: {{image hoax}} including the brackets on the page to draw attention to it.  7  23:18, 3 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Hi, It's #28 http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Right-wing_politics#Notes Clicking #28 PDF link downloads it to your computer. You'll need to print, I think, to see all 9 or so unnumbered pages. I brought it to someone to look at and they confirmed. They said anyone with knowledge/experience with PDFs should probably be able to tell it's a forgery, also.
1) These federal documents are typically published in PDF format. This document appears typed up first in Word and pasted in the HTML. 2) Banner at the top is incorrect font. Symbols have been copied. 3) They don't do conjecture, just facts. Also, if this was a real report, this would be classified information and not available to the public. And so on.
This was also written on the talk page, btw, but no one has responded yet. (Another wikipedian suggested that I should bring this to the "reliable source" page. (?) If more information is needed for confirmation, please let me know and I'll be happy to do what I can. Thanks --Westcoastkitty77 (talk) 16:54, 4 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
I am a bit out of my depth here, so I have posted this on the RS noticeboard. Please watch the argument there and add any further comments there to keep the conversation in one place. Regards.  7  01:03, 5 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
