editHello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Peter Ramsaroop may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

File permission problem with File:Dennis Adonis book cover for Sea of Sorrows.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Dennis Adonis book cover for Sea of Sorrows.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 22:53, 23 December 2013 (UTC)

Book Covers
editBeen sorting out all the covers and duplicates! I've copied all of the text from http://www.dennisadonis.net/permit.html into the OTRS system, so even if the web site dies at some future time, we won't lose the permission. Thus they now all have a ticket number of 2014021910001219. If you upload any more book covers from the site, just ask any OTRS agent to put that ticket number on the image (or use the noticeboard WP:OTRSN). Images (currently) are now (all on commons)...

Note file names will change as users may decide on a more suitable name - but they will re-link them if used in any articles. Ronhjones (Talk) 02:19, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for April 26
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Dennis Adonis, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page British (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

License tagging for File:Ten letters to obama dennis adonis coverj.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Ten letters to obama dennis adonis coverj.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 02:05, 16 December 2014 (UTC)

Removing AfD template
editWelcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Ten Letters to Obama. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it.—cyberbot ITalk to my owner:Online 17:10, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
- Hello and thanks for the notification.
- I see that the articles have been nominated for deletion, so I will abstain from copy-editing them, although they indeed needed it. As you have seen above, removing an AfD template is not allowed. If you keep removing them, you risk being blocked.
- You are instead encouraged to participate in the discussion, to which the template links. If you think the articles should be kept, you can put forward your arguments there; see WP:Notability.
- Regards
- HandsomeFella (talk) 17:31, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
- As noted above, it is against Wikipedia rules to remove the AfD notice from an article. If you do it again, I will report you. Instead, you have to DISCUSS the nominations at: [1] and [2] Bueller 007 (talk) 17:33, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
- As noted by a duplicate account of yours. So lets put it to the test. You went outside of Wikipedia principles and nominated the article without providing proper reasons. It will be removed until other credible administrators from Wikipedia can examine it, and see your devious edits.
- The reasons are given at: [3] and [4] Bueller 007 (talk) 18:15, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
- My account is not a duplicate of that of Bueller 007. Suggesting that is a personal attack, as is accusations of vandalism. If you continue down this path, you might find yourself blocked very soon. Btw, if you are in any way related to mr. Adonis, reading WP:Conflict of interest is recommended. And sign your posts. HandsomeFella (talk) 17:41, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
- I have no relation to the subject. I am very much aware of cultural developments in the Caribbean and happened to be maybe the fourth of fifth author to pick up and expand that article. I see no reason for it to be removed. Your actions are clearly bent on a personal attack. It is obvious as day.
Webwatchergy (talk) 17:46, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
- I have reported you for vandalism for your repeated removal of AfD notices in violation of Wikipedia rules. Links were provided to discuss the nomination, but you have chosen a different route, apparently. Bueller 007 (talk) 17:51, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. -- Ed (Edgar181) 17:52, 18 January 2015 (UTC)- If you think the articles should be kept, then why didn't you explain why on the discussion pages, instead of edit-warring, which only got you blocked, just as I predicted. And can you give an example of a personal attack that I have made against you? To learn what constitutes a personal attack, and what doesn't, see WP:No personal attacks, section What is considered to be a personal attack?. HandsomeFella (talk) 18:15, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion
editHello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you.
- I felt that the user was deliberately vandalizing the pages and had preferred intervention and guidance from a Wikipedia administrator instead. However, I do not know how to contact an Administrator.
But ironically, an administrator's intervention blocked me without warning. However from reviewing Wikipedia's policy, I may want to agree with the administrator, even though I would have preferred that he sent me a guidance notice instead on how to handle situations like these. Nonetheless, the overall position on this matter is understood, and I will await further guidance.
Finally, it would be great if less seasoned Wikipedians can provided with clearer guidance on contacting an administrator when situation of these nature arises..
