Image Tagging Image:Ln1.jpg

This image may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Ln1.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or {{fairuse}}. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --keepsleeping quit your job! slack off! 01:51, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

There are actually several images you've uploaded that need this information; I also noticed that you're using a lot of them on your User page, and have added some to User templates. If they are not free-use or GFDL-licensed images, though, they can only be used in article namespace as fair use, and not in user space. Please keep that in mind when tagging and uploading images in the future. thanks! --keepsleeping quit your job! slack off! 01:51, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

Ok...the Leslie Nielsen image is from this website [1]

the Conan O'Brien Image is from right here on Wikipedia (I just cropped it in photoshop) the Ladies Man image is from right here also, again I just cropped it

Let me know of any other images you have questions about. Weatherman90 01:58, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

Okay, those are fair use images. You need to tag them with one of the image copyright tags and add the source to the actual image page, not just here. Also, since you didn't create them and they're not public domain, they're not allowed in anything that's not an article — and that includes user templates and user pages. Sorry about that. --keepsleeping quit your job! slack off! 02:12, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

But the ladies and conan images are from right here on wikipedia...how can I not use them here? Weatherman90 02:29, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

Images in article space and images in non-article space have different rules that apply. The image of Conan O'Brien, for example, is fine to use in the article about Conan O'Brien, because it directly relates to the subject of the article. Using it anywhere else, you can't make a claim of fair use, which is necessary to use the image legally — otherwise, you're infringing on the copyright of whomever owns the picture. You're welcome to use GFDL and other free use images in your userspace, though, and you can find thousands of them in the WikiMedia Commons. --keepsleeping quit your job! slack off! 04:09, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

Okay, thanks. Weatherman90 22:21, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

Similarities

Wow, you and I are almost exactly alike! That would be cool if we could become penpals!Icelandic Hurricane 14:33, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

That would be cool...believe it or not im interested in geneology too. I forgot to put that on there. My great-grandmother made this huge book of family history before she died, and ive been trying to get some software to record it all on. Weatherman90 15:15, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

My great-great-great grandaunt also wrote a book on one branch of my family. Wow! we are quite a bit alike!Icelandic Hurricane 21:58, 9 January 2006 (UTC)

You know, I just realized I'm a Republican too!Icelandic Hurricane 22:01, 9 January 2006 (UTC)

Do you remember any of the questions that you got wrong to see if I might be able to answer them (I won't cheat and look it up)? Also, I read a bit more of your userpage and I think we have another similarity! I'm not positive but I also think I have Asberger's Syndrome! We must be siblings separated at birth or something!Icelandic Hurricane 21:29, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

No sorry, it was too long ago, but most of them were about government and things like that which I should have studied more. Weatherman90 01:40, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

Another ND wikipedian!!!

Hey,

Just came across your user page while browsing through the edit history for Bismarck, North Dakota. Good to see another North Dakota Wikipedian (and one from Bismarck as well like myself, I wonder if we're the only two around here :)  ! Just a suggestion, you should add as a category for your user page the "Wikipedians in North Dakota" category, like I've done on mine. :) Anyhoo, give me a holler back on my user page if you feel like it... (BTW, I totally agree with your "People who should live in a trash can" section, especially about Paris Hilton ( is her 15 mins. of fame ever going to be up) & Howard Stern (get off the air already, even on a satellite) ;) ). misternuvistor 03:10, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

Wikiproject North Dakota

Hello there, fellow Nodak! Interested in helping Wikiproject North Dakota off the drawing board? --AlexWCovington (talk) 21:48, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

Sounds like fun - I already got started on governor articles George Sinner, Allen I. Olson. Weatherman90 02:13, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

Number of Edits

I looked on the edit count and found out that I already have more edits than You! I have over 450 edits, and you only have 344. Weird, huh? Considering you've been in this longer than me.Icelandic Hurricane 22:27, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I tend to go in streaks, I think like 1/4 of my edits are on one day. Weatherman90 22:40, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
Wow.Icelandic Hurricane 21:12, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

Userboxes

Since I don't particularly like to edit somebody else's user page and I have no idea what the {{boxboxtop}} does. I created a table with three columns and a fixed width and height. If you like the code below, you can paste it into your user page. Dr Debug (Talk) 20:28, 11 February 2006 (UTC)

It's perfect, many thanks!Weatherman90 20:30, 11 February 2006 (UTC)

[grinning from ear to ear]. You like that huh? I just couldn't resist. Feel free to use it how you like. It's not in a template though. Cheers!

Help Me!

Can you please fix my userboxes on my userpage? It would be nice if you could organize them like yours.Icelandic Hurricane 02:41, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

Wikiproject: Tropical Cyclones

Hey! Glad to see you joined the WPTC! I knew you would sometime. Also, I've tried fixing my userboxes. I don't know what's wrong with the top row. Do you know of anybody that is a fanatic when it comes to userboxes?Icelandic Hurricane 22:42, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

Welcome!

Glad to see you're in the Tropical Cyclone Wikiproject. I see you have worked a bit on the 2005 season, and that's great. Any help you can give to the project is greatly appreciated, especially older seasons or other basins. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I look forward to your contributions. See you around. Hurricanehink 00:55, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

Hey! It's me again. I hate to bother you but you seem like just the man; some reason my menu at the top of the page is appearing smaller than it really is. Anything you can do about it?Icelandic Hurricane 13:06, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

Re: 155.212.231.18

Yeah, this dick is really getting on my nearves. Another example of how liberals are more prone to dicketry. Trying to look from an unbiased perspective here, I have seen much more ridiculous behavior done by liberals than conservatives. The vandalism to the George Bush page is just shocking. The Bill Clinton page is not vandalized nearly as often. Anyway, if he strikes again, immediately report him to WP:AIV. I reported him just short of a day after he vandalized my page a third time after recieving his final warning and an admin just removed it, saying it wasn't recent enough. -- §HurricaneERIC§Damagesarchive 23:28, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

Ha Ha! I reported him to AIV and his repeated vandalism over time earned him a 1-week block! Owned! -- §HurricaneERIC§Damagesarchive 00:05, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Question-mark-2.gif)

This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Question-mark-2.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that your image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If your image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why your image was deleted. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Dethomas 21:03, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

Image:Devilclinton.jpg listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded, Image:Devilclinton.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

Look, if you don´t agree with the this unofficial and sneaky redirect/userboxes "burning campaing" then oppose it. Follow the oficial/legal channels and vote "Strong Keep" in Wikipedia:Redirects for deletion. If you are too lazy or too afraid to do anything about it, then don´t complain about it. At least it will be debated and perhaps even defeated. Flamarande 19:26, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

If you want oppose the whole "burning campaign" then go to Wikipedia:Userbox policy poll and vote! Flamarande 19:59, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

Fair use images

Per Wikipedia:Fair use criteria, specifically item 9, fair use images are not allowed on user pages. Please remove the album covers from User:Weatherman90/Music. Just so you know, I'm deleting a number of them which aren't being used in any articles, per Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion I5. Thanks. howcheng {chat} 21:52, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
