Creating categories

edit

When creating categories, please consider what parent hierarchies intersect at that topic, and so add more than one parent.

In cases such as Category:2001 establishments in the Maldives which are part of a series, please copy from a sibling, which may use a specialised template. – Fayenatic London 22:06, 9 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

CCTV (EP) moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to CCTV (EP). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it does not currently meet WP:NALBUM. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Hey man im josh (talk) 16:36, 13 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

About the Parliamantarian Page

edit

Hey thank you for the corrections, May I know the reason for removal of the Info-box below the page stating politics of Maldives? Just wondering. NormadicEditor (talk) 11:41, 16 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
Are you referring to the template Politics of the Maldives? If so, I removed it because I didn't think it was necessary to add. Feel free to add it back!
Thanks,
Unilandofma (talk) 15:19, 16 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
I am doing a Portal for Parliamentarians of Maldives as I think it's Necessary to categorise with the sub subjects as there are too many with the same names.
Like there is an MP Aslam and a Minister Aslam.
Thank you of your insights :) NormadicEditor (talk) 16:41, 16 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Help with ¨Redirect ¨

edit

So, I made a bit of a mess here. I tried to create a redirect page (without fully understanding what I was doing) to act as a reference, but somehow it turned into a full-blown article. Then, when a helpful Wikipedian pointed out the issue, I tried to fix it… and ended up redirecting the Ahmed Haitham page to the wrong one instead. It’s like I set out to make a simple Wikipedia salad but accidentally cooked a chaotic lasagna instead. This whole ordeal has made me realize I need to retire my journo instincts if I ever want to earn my Wikipedian badge. Now, any tips on how to untangle this mess? NormadicEditor (talk) 13:08, 18 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

@NormadicEditor Hi! It seems like the issue has already been resolved from my understanding! Unilandofma(Talk to me!) 13:22, 18 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Oh wait nevermind, I see the issue. Are you trying to redirect Shajaan's page to Haitham? Unilandofma(Talk to me!) 13:23, 18 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hey, Not!!
So, here’s the pickle: [[Shajaan Muaz Shaheem]] is now a redirect of a redirect to the [[Ahmed Haitham]] page. All I wanted to do was create a proper tag template for his wife, given the developments in his “threat” section, but somehow, I managed to create the Wikipedia equivalent of a boomerang. Now, when I click her name on his profile, it loops right back to his page with a cheerful little note saying it’s a redirect from her page. I know, it’s as wild as it sounds. NormadicEditor (talk) 13:28, 18 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
@NormadicEditor Ohh I see! Okayy I'll fix the issue for you! Unilandofma(Talk to me!) 13:31, 18 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Of course! I'm honored to be your Encyclopedia Emergency Hotline! Unilandofma(Talk to me!) 13:42, 18 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
;)))
I see you’ve cleaned up the redirects thank you! My main goal was to make Shajaan Muaz Shaheem page into a proper redirect to the Ahmed Haitham page. How can I now convert her article into a redirect without turning the whole thing into another ravioli of chaos? NormadicEditor (talk) 13:46, 18 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
You can convert Shajaan Muaz Shaheem into a redirect by deleting everything in the article and then making it redirect to Ahmed Haitham. Hope this helps! Unilandofma(Talk to me!) 13:49, 18 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hey!
I tried that, and this error is showing up!
¨¨An automated filter has detected that you are attempting to remove an Articles for deletion or Miscellany for deletion notice from this page, so it has been disallowed. I see!
That's because Shajaan Muaz Shaheem was nominated for deletion. In the Articles for Deletion discussion, you can say to redirect to the Ahmed Haitham page. Hope this helps! Unilandofma(Talk to me!) 14:00, 18 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
I did, I don´t think the one who nominated the article for deletion has seen the last discussion! NormadicEditor (talk) 14:05, 18 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Then we wait. But I'm sure the page will be turned into a redirect page after a consensus has been reached! Unilandofma(Talk to me!) 14:07, 18 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
