License tagging for File:Main entrance to the museum in 2008.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Main entrance to the museum in 2008.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:05, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
Tips on wikilinks
editHi. I've been looking at hthe article Military of Ecuador, where you've done a lot of work. That generally looks good, so thanks for improving Wikipedia. But I've noticed one idiosyncracy in the edits. (If this wasn't you or you know this already, just igore this and have a nice day.) There were many instance of wikicode like "helicopter. In this instance using the pipe ("|"-character and the text before it) is not neccessary, a simple link like "helicopter" works, that links to the page titled "Helicopter" with a capital "H" automatically. Using the second, simpler form has at least two advantages. It's shorter and easier to type for those writing the text and easier to read for those looking at (editing) it later. One other trick is that instead of (for example) "helicopters" you can use "helicopters". In this case two things are done automatically: this links to the "capital H Helicopter" page again and the plural-"s" is shown as a link (i.e., blue) on the page, so that it looks neat, like this: helicopters.[edit] If you think that maybe the way you do it (if it was you) is faster, maybe. But you shouldn't worry about performance.--ospalh (talk) 09:54, 23 July 2009 (UTC) and 10:05, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
- I've read my comment again, and unfortunately it didn't read as friendly as I wanted to make it. All I wanted to say was that you can save a few key strokes and the resulting wikicode will be better. I should have added that there really is no need to go back and "fix" anything, as nothing is "broken" or wrong. Have fun.--ospalh (talk) 07:51, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
OK thanks, sorry i didn't reply, just didn't know how to do it. Cheers Ulan76 (talk) 21:44, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for adding the information to this article, but you can't use blogs as refs as per WP:SPS. Do you have a better reference for Ecuadorian use of the aircraft? - Ahunt (talk) 21:26, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
- How about this reference http://aviamil.com/tag/entrenamiento/ check it outUlan76 (talk) 21:43, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
- Actually I found it in Taylor, Michael: Encyclopedia of Modern Military Aircraft, page 67. Bison Books, 1987. ISBN 0-8317-2808-6 and added that ref. - Ahunt (talk) 21:55, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Great! many thanks for that!Ulan76 (talk) 08:53, 25 March 2010 (UTC)

By the way, let me know what you thinkUlan76 (talk) 18:36, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
hello
editMy point was that safety should come before money. Polish defence officials had wanted to replace those old aircraft for the past 5 years, but the stupid politicians kept putting it off. Now the Polish head of state and 90+ other people are dead.So no I am not nuetral, I am andgry Rademire2 (talk) 15:59, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for answering me. I totally agree with you and in a perfect world it would be the case. Furthermore I do totally agree with you on the political issue here. You are right indeed Rademire2! I'm sure you've joined wikipedia for the same reasons as me. Therefore what would happen if everyone (ignoring neutrality) would get involved with emotions and personal statements? I don't think that wikipedia would enjoy as much credibility as it does at the moment. In fact, it would be a very dirty and messy place, no-one would ever like to consult it. Good Luck Rademire2. Ecuador military personel
editIm sorry about those changes in the troops number but I think your source may be not as accurate. See Im from here, from ecuador and its active personel number havent been less than 40000 since I remember and my source are the news paper, tv news etc and they even talk about 60000 personel in 2010 other say 80000 (the same wikipedia in spanish). And if you remeber about that problem we had with colombia we mobilized 20000 soldiers to the frontier but as your source says that the army has like 24000 men the remaing personel, 4000, would have been assigned the the frontier with peru and as your own article says "Until recently the Ecuadorian Army was a reflection of its past conflicts with Peru. Its troop deployment with emphasis on the southern area and personnal strenght, reflected a large scale force ready to fend of an invasion." would have been madness to leave 4000 men to defend the largest frontier and some of that nuumber is divided in the president security, the oil pipeline security that number doesnt seem acurate at all. Im just saying that maybe you should get the troop number (the other info seem correct) from other source. No offence at all.
sorry about any spelling, tenses or any grammar mistake.
