editYou should be aware that a user's main user talk page is pretty much never deleted, as its history is needed as a record of communications to the user, just as user accounts are never deleted. You are free to blank the page, if you choose, but the history remains abvailable to anyoen who cares to look. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 14:14, 15 October 2019 (UTC)
- @DESiegel: Gotcha - thank you. I have just created a new draft Draft:Tenzing and wondered whether, not that articles need to be reviewed, it's more likely to be approved if there was a more detailed draft, as opposed to a basic page that I planned to work on over time? Your experience and time is appreciated.
- As it now stands, there is no way that Draft:Tenzing would be accepted. There are two cited spources. One is an interview with the founder of the business. Interviews with involved people are considered primary sources and generally do not count towards notability. The other is a brief note that looks to be largely based on a company press-relase, but woudl not count as indepth coverage in any case. I advise that you withdraw the review request and not submit the draft for review until it is much more cokmplete, indeed not until you think it is ready for the main article space, clearly demonstrating the notability of the topic. Otherwise you are wasting both your own time and that of a reviewer. You can take your time on the draft, as long as it does not go unimproved for 6 months at a time. But resubmitting many times can frustrate reviewers and negatively affect their reactions. So don't waste a submission sure to be declined. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 14:31, 15 October 2019 (UTC)
- @DESiegel:I really appreciate this advice. How do you remove the article from pending review?UKBizMan 14:34, 15 October 2019 (UTC)
- By replacing the line
{{AFC submission|||ts=20191015135755|u=UKBizMan|ns=118}}
with the line{{subst:AFC draft| UKBizMan}}
That marks it as an UNsubmitted AfC draft. The first line marks it as submitted, and includes the date and time it was submitted (20191015135755). DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 14:41, 15 October 2019 (UTC)- Thank you - have done this and will put the time in both of my drafts and before I do any more.
