Bilateral relations articles
Can you please stop mass-moving those bilateral relations articles to titles that are stylistically and grammatically wrong? There is no consensus for these moves. I have yet to see a single authentic example where anybody in the real world said such a thing as "Germany-Japan relations". It's not English. See discussion between User:Koavf and myself at our two talk pages. Fut.Perf. ☼ 15:41, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
- If you want to stress that it's states, not people, then have them at "Relations between X and Y". But it's moot, because no matter what you think, "Xian-Yian relations" is in fact the normal way the English language refers to these things. Please always remember that WP:USEENGLISH is the fundamental policy here. Every article should be named with the most simple, most elegant, most easily recognisable name. It doesn't matter what you think is more consistent or more logical. "Germany-Japan relations" IS WRONG, because no native English speaker would ever, ever write it. Fut.Perf. ☼ 17:41, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
- On the other hand, and beg to disagree with A, "Germany-Japan relations" is the most compact, brief, succinct, short and best way of saying it. Tabletop (talk) 08:13, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

- Your edits are FACTUALLY INNACURATE. The pages you are moving contain SUBSTANTIAL historical material the pre-date the creation of the United Kingdom, therefore the use of 'Country-United Kingdom relations' simply doesn't work. You are clearly re-naming articles you haven't even read. Indisciplined (talk) 01:22, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Turkey. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. - Thankyou for providing the warning. I have reverted many edits, because they seem to constitute as vandalism, because of the reason given for the revert by the users (e.g. Islamist <- Not valid or true) Entry is neutral for both point of views, for the purpose of the providing information for the users on Wikipedia, not what is based on anyone else's ideology or anything, as long as they are referenced with reliable sources, it is valid. I have started a Wikipedia:Request for comment on this topic at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Eurovision#RfC on ESCKaz reliability. This discussion originates from questions on the reliability of the ESCKaz website and if it should be used in Eurovision articles on Wikipedia. It has now being extended to fully review all sources used in articles covered by WikiProject Eurovision, including ESCToday and Oikotimes. This is a very important issue to the project as sourcing is a key part of articles, and consensus needs to be reached on which sources should be used when, where and how. This discussion however has so far lacked a wide range of editor participation, and as you have listed yourself as a member of WikiProject Eurovision I invite you to add your thoughts. In particular more input is needed from editors which have a high level of experience with relevant guidelines/policies such as Wikipedia:Reliable sources and Wikipedia:Verifiability, and who have up until now stayed outside this debate, though all contributions are welcome. Thank you. Camaron | Chris (talk) 11:10, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. We have some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Could you please stop moving international relations articles, they simply do not need moving and often moving them makes them make little sense. For example you seem to be obsessed with moving articles that contain the word "anglo" to United Kingdom. Many of these articles refer to the relations between England and the nation in question before the formation of the UK. 安東尼 TALK 圣诞快乐 13:39, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

- I've never moved any bilateral relations articles of the United States so "Filipino-American relations, not Philippines-United States relations" is not a valid example. And you have to know all US bilateral articles are like "Serbia–United States relations". My precedent is Category:Bilateral relations of the United States. Also I usually move articles created by Groubani because he uses wrong titles. For example Autralia-Peru relations (it should be Australia) and Cyprus-Egyptian relations (it should be Cypriot). Furthermore i don't understand why you are insistently reverting my edits at Template:Foreign relations of Serbia. I added all countries which Serbia is represented in. But after your second revert I removed countries without a Serbian embassy. Please do not remove again. Because I'll keep on creating Serbia relations articles. Hi Turkish Flame! you recently made the Template:Turkish diaspora. Although I think it is great, could you please change the tile to something such as 'turkish communities outside turkey' (or something like that) because Turkish people in KKTC, Bulgaristan, Yunanistan etc are not immigrants- as they see these countires as their homelands (from Osmanli zamani). Hence, they are not part of the diasopra so I hope you agree to change the title. Pro Georgia?
Why you pro Georgia? Those bastards hate Chechan Muslims. I assume you are a Turkish Muslim? Please see the following message I have left on anothers talk page. This is what I had said previously.
Spread the message to people that the Russians are war criminals, especially Vladimir Putin. As a humanist and a pacifist I have feel it is my civic duty to make everyone knowledgable of the 21st Centry Genocide that's been happening in Chechnya, i.e. (The First Chechen war and Second Chechen war) in which 180,000 to 250,000 (that's 25% of the ethnic Chechen population) civilians have been killed by Russia through rape, murder and lootings and the use of extrajudicial killings (Mass graves in Chechnya). Sorry to come a little strong there but since the bastard son of a bitch UN isn't doing anything about it I want people to know of the modern day genocide that's happening right next door to us. Please look at the links, this has had little media coverage in the world. Sorry dude but we don't need World War III to happen ever, now do we? History has taught much but the Holocaust can never happen again. Think of these people during Christmas and have a happy new year. (I also want feedback from you about what I've said.)
And Georgia has been supporting the Russians. What say you? LOTRrules Talk Contribs 22:18, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

- I don't know any articles in Wikipedia but i know why Turkey joined the NATO. During the Cold War, Soviet Union tried to occupy the Bosphorus and the Dardanelles. Turkey and its army was weak at that time and Turkey decided to get closer with the US. Then it declared war on Japan and Germany and it was accepted to the NATO. May I ask you why you wondered to know it? How can i help you better? --Turkish Flame ☎ 15:48, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
- I was hoping to cover Turkey's involvement in NATO in a separate article somewhere, if it doesn't already exist. I know they were pivotal to The Gulf War but I'm not sure of other important contributions, and moreover, how their involvement with NATO affects their reputation. Proposed deletion of Jan Jan
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Jan Jan, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- per WP:NSONGS. All notability lies in the future.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 23:49, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

Therefore, I think we should have the Turkish people article semi-protected (at the least) however I am not sure how this is done... so can you please help by semi-protecting it? I wait for your reply! Thanks in advance... Thetruthonly (talk) 09:25, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
- See Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. But you said that template will be deleted. Is there a consensus for deletion? If the answer is no, remove the deletion tag. --Turkish Flame ☎ 14:54, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry to butt in ;) The template will be deleted because there is an infobox ({{Infobox Ethnic group}}) that it is a copy of and all of the other similar articles use the general one. There shouldn't be a Turkish only one because the general infobox will make it look exactly the same. Grk1011/Stephen (talk) 16:31, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Page moves
Please move those song pages back. They are not just Eurovision songs, but are regular songs as well over which the Eurovision Song Contest has no power. They can change the names for the contest and we will write them as such on ESC pages, but for the songs themselves, we must follow the song naming guidelines for spelling, etc. Grk1011/Stephen (talk) 22:13, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for File:StageESC2009.jpg}
Thank you for uploading File:StageESC2009.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Telif hakkı saklı resimler
- Merhabalar sevgili Turkish Flame. Sizinle Türkçe Vikipedi'den de tanışıyoruz. Vikipedi ve Commons'a neden sürekli Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu'nun telif hakkı saklı resimlerini yüklediğinizi anlayamadım. --DsMurattalk 20:50, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Page titles
Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Argentine-British relations a different title by copying its content and pasting it into Argentina–United Kingdom relations. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. The Gallipoli campaign
Dear User talk:Turkish Flame, I think there is a misunderstanding between geographical location and Military history. The Gallipoli campaign is covered under Middle Eastern theatre of World War I. This theatre contains all military activities of the Ottoman Empire during World War One. Gallipoli is not part of historically well established European theatre, As you think. Though Geographical location may be misleading, military activities are separated based on the HQ they originate. Gallipoli operations were planned and executed as an extension of the Middle Eastern theatre. This even applies to the Turkish history. All Turkish war efforts are covered under single theatre. It was not divided theatre A, theatre B, as was the case for western war efforts. The Wikipedia uses the Western terminology naming this single theather as Middle Eastern theatre of World War I. --TarikAkin (talk) 16:45, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
Dear User talk:Turkish Flame, I'm happy that you will be contributing to Military articles that is related to the period. Are you a military historian? What is your background is these articles? Which article you are planning to develop? There are so many missing parts... --TarikAkin (talk) 17:12, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
- Middle Eastern theatre doesn't contain all military activities of the Ottoman Empire during WWI as you said. It took part in the European theatre too, with the wars in Gallipoli campaign and others. --Turkish Flame ☎ 18:40, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
- Please, use the official discussion thread to resolve "if Gallipoli is part of European operations or not". Do not engage in Wikipedia:Disruptive editing. You can reach the discussion using this link Conflict over Gallipoli Campaign. --TarikAkin (talk) 19:11, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Support for deleting the Category:Anti-Armenianism
Will you support my arguement for the deletion of the Category:Anti-Armenianism that I put forward on May 1, 2009?
It is very subjective and even racist as it puts every person who questions the Armenian genocide, such as prominent academicians, who are not racist or personally against Armenian people or Armenia as an entity, along with assasins and militants.
Thank you

Orphaned non-free media (File:Eurovision 2009 Semi-Final Allocation Draw.jpg)
Thanks for uploading File:Eurovision 2009 Semi-Final Allocation Draw.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:35, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
