Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help.   Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to List of Family Guy characters, but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. -- Doniago (talk) 19:24, 24 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Parade All-America Boys Basketball Team, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Brad Daugherty (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

They go pro, then college, then HS, then FIBA. You can also look at examples to see how these should be formattend/linked. Thanks for creating the articles you have done lately - and for creating fleshed-out articles instead of stubs. Rikster2 (talk) 22:14, 31 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

RE: A CBA question

edit

First let me thank you for contributing to CBA articles! The consensus has gone back and forth on whether or not we should dedicate articles to teams that were re-located or just put all the information on one page. I think that the consensus is now that we dedicate individual articles to re-located teams, so Tri-City Chinook should be their own page. For example the Buffalo Braves have their own article despite being moved the San Diego in 1978. The Braves page also highlights how confusing basketball timelines can get. The Braves and the Boston Celtics swapped rosters before Buffalo re-located to San Diego, leading many people to claim the Celtics were the successor to the San Diego/Los Angeles Clippers. —Brian Halvorsen (talk) 05:17, 24 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

No worries at all. I'm glad you found the info in my sandbox useful. Thank you again for editing CBA articles! —Brian Halvorsen (talk) 19:49, 26 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Newspaper sources

edit

For this edit of yours on Anthony Richardson (basketball), are you by any chance getting the source from Newspapers.com? I had wondered the same about newspaper sources you added at Parade All-America Boys Basketball Team. If they are from there, and you are a subscriber, can I suggest that use the "clipping" feature explained at Wikipedia:Newspapers.com? That would give readers a way to directly access the article online. Regards.—Bagumba (talk) 12:58, 26 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hey, if you get a chance, would you be willing to expand Perry Young (basketball)? There is discussion of if another Perry Young should be at the primary name article (“Perry Young”) and right now the basketball player article is poorly done. I can probably contribute this weekend, but would love to see it fleshed out a bit, which you have done for similar subjects. Thank you for anything you can contribute. ACB contests

edit

Hi. Sincerely, I have not edited that article for years and didn't know it was in my watchlist. The only thing is that, in any article, I like to have a consensus by choosing or all the text with red links or without links and not chosing one option or other by thinking if it is notable. Did not know too much about that project so, any "redlinking" with that purposal is completely OK for me. Greetings! Asturkian (talk) 21:40, 7 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
