Amory tornado wind speed

Hey Tornadofan2.0! I wanted to let you know that I reverted your edit on Tornado outbreak of March 24–27, 2023, where you changed the Amory wind speed from >155 mph to 158 mph. There was a discussion on the talk page (Talk:Tornado outbreak of March 24–27, 2023#Amory tornado) where the situation was discussed and explained some. I also added a note next to the wind speed which readers can use. In short, the 158 mph is preliminary and the 155 is official, so the >155 mph + the note for readers is the best to do right now. List of F5, EF5, and IF5 tornadoes Improvement Time!

Hello there! I am sending this alert to all members of the WikiProject Weather and editors who have recently edited in the realm of tornadoes.

There is a large and important discussion ongoing, with the goal to completely overhaul and improve the List of F5, EF5, and IF5 tornadoes. The previous improvement attempt back in 2022/2023 gained almost no participation. This alert is being sent out so these discussions hopefully gain a reasonably-sized participation, so the F5/EF5/IF5 tornado article, one of the most viewed weather-related articles on Wikipedia, can be improved for all readers!

Tornado outbreak sequence of May 19–27, 2024

I noticed you changed the length and width of a tornado on this page without citing a source, and, checking the cited damage assessment toolkit, the old figures were accurate. Please do not change official figures for events without justifying them with a reliable source, or, if using an existing cited source, explaining them using an edit summary. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
