Removing AfD template
editWelcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Serbia–Venezuela relations. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it. Snotbot t • c » 05:34, 9 March 2013 (UTC)
- That's odd, because I closed the AFD before removing the tag on the article. Must be an error. Tofutwitch11 (TALK) 11:46, 9 March 2013 (UTC)
GOCE March drive newsletter
edit Guild of Copy Editors March 2012 backlog elimination drive update
Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors March 2012 Backlog elimination drive! Here's the mid-drive newsletter. Participation: We have had 58 people sign up for this drive so far, which compares favorably with our last drive, and 27 have copy-edited at least one article. If you have signed up but have not yet copy-edited any articles, please consider doing so. Every bit helps! If you haven't signed up yet, it's not too late. Join us! Progress report: Our target of completing the 2010 articles has almost been reached, with only 56 remaining of the 194 we had at the start of the drive. The last ones are always the most difficult, so thank you if you are able to help copy-edit any of the remaining articles. We have reduced the total backlog by 163 articles so far. Special thanks: Special thanks to Stfg, who has been going through the backlog and doing some preliminary vetting of the articles—removing copyright violations, doing initial clean-up, and nominating some for deletion. This work has helped make the drive a more pleasant experience for all our volunteers. Your drive coordinators – Dianna (talk), Stfg (talk), and Dank (talk)To discontinue receiving GOCE newsletters, please remove your name from our mailing list. |

Non-admin closures of RMs
editHi Tofutwitch11, thanks for your willingness to help with the substantial RM backlog. Did you know you can actually make closures that involve moves you can't physically make? The short version is that you tag the redirect holding up the move for speedy deletion. I made a little template, {{RMnac}} that you can use to designate a non-admin closure at RM, and it also links to the relevant documentation if you're interested in learning how to do this. I'd be happy to help if you have any questions; just drop me a line on my talk page. Thanks, BDD (talk) 23:53, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
- Hi! Thanks for the note. I'm more than happy to participate in the RM backlog -- I just feel like if I close the RM's, and then request for an admin to actually move them I'm just creating another backlog, although I guess since the RM is closed it's just a process of moving and cleaning up after the move. I'll re-close the one I closed before and do that, and perhaps do some others. Wikipedia hasn't changed much during my wikibreak -- lots of backlogs! Tofutwitch11 (TALK) 01:44, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
- Ok, discussion re-closed and Redirect CSD'd. Tofutwitch11 (TALK) 01:48, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
Move files
editPlease remember when you rename/move an image to remove the rename template and/or any other unnecessary templates like shadow commons as they no longer apply. If the rename template is left, it looks as if the file still needs to be renamed. -- ТимофейЛееСуда. 21:06, 15 March 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry, normally I remember to remove the template but I sometimes forget. Tofutwitch11 (TALK) 21:39, 15 March 2013 (UTC)
2080s
editI think the result appears to be "Keep" rather than "No consensus"; the only policy-based reason to delete is WP:CRYSTAL, and I believe that should only be used as a delete argument if, not only the current status violates CRYSTAL, but that it is unlikely that there is anything that could be in the article which would not violate CRYSTAL. But I won't challenge. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 08:13, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
- I agree with you. However, as a non-admin, closing an AfD that has 3 delete !votes as keep (although one is discounted because the user is blocked) is likely to get reversed by an admin, only to get closed as keep again by that same admin. I've had it happen to me in the past. Closing it as no consensus lowers the chances of that happening. Apparently, unless you are a sysop, you lack the judgement to close AfD's that aren't 100% unanimous. I'm glad to see, as an admin, you respect my consensus, but there are many others who would challenge it. Thanks for the note. Tofutwitch11 (TALK) 16:00, 16 March 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for August 19
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Boston Virtual ATC, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Flying (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Redirect to CustomInk & Sysop
editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You are wrong to say that. The CustomInk redirect to List of franchises were,
- That I worked for the user, "PumaR812"
- He added a note saying "This article needs to be improved before February 2014 or this article is deleted."
- And I redirected the article to List of franchises, because it was over its date to get improved.
And you were saying that I am not an administrator on Commons? Well your so FALSE. Hahaha. But let's her back to what I was saying. I did work for Commons but I only use my Wikipedia account to edit and add pictures to Commons so I don't need to fill out a form. Yet, I don't know why you can possibly tell that I did all this because I want to do patrol. Anyways please reply me back PLEASE. I need to hear what you think. Farewell! Puma sajuk (talk) 18:49, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
- If I'm so false, what is your username on Commons? Because the account you are editing from right now (Puma Sajuk) is not a sysop on commons. In addition, a sysop certainly wouldn't speak to me like you are. The user "PumaR812" that added that 'improve' template to CustomInk has about 80 edits, and doesn't have the authority to delete an article. If you believe the article should be deleted, you are more than welcome to follow the guidelines at WP:PROD to do so. Blanking and article and redirecting to something completely irrelevant to the article is considered vandalism. Instead of blanking the article, a better course of action would be to try to improve it! You are nor an administrator here nor on Commons, so I suggest you remove those userboxes from your userpage. Tofutwitch11 (TALK) 19:02, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
- Oh please Shiva, and the others. My username is Puma Sajuk of course on Commons. What do you think about the redirect I did with CustomInk? Pls like... PLS reply. You're really helping me become better with making good edits. You should seriously be my "Wikipedia master" for a while. Puma sajuk (talk) 19:13, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
- I'm going to reply on your talk page, and that's where we should keep the conversation. Tofutwitch11 (TALK) 19:16, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
