Question on Naming Conventions for Comic Characters.
Three of the primary rogues (Captain Boomerang, Mirror Master, and The Trickster have had 2 incarnations. I'm wondering if I should create new pages for the newer incarnations, or if I should use one page and write about both characters before. Also, would it be a good or bad idea to create a Flash Villain subcategory? The rogue's gallery entry mentions the Flash, however he's the only hero of the four without a subcategory.
- If the incarnations are seperate people then you should place bios of both versions of the character on the one page, until such a point as they become too unwieldy and a decision is made to split them off onto two pages. If the incarnations are the same basic character, just altered over the course of publishing history and events such as Crisis then follow the examples set by Superman and Batman, both of which are Featured articles. I'm not sure what you'd do with the sub-villain category, so I've asked the questions on your behalf at WikiProject Comics. See there for responses, and if you haven't joined up as yet, please do and add WikiProject Comics to your watchlist. Steve block talk 17:51, 1 August 2005 (UTC)

As a member of WikiProject Comics, I thought you might be interested in the Comics Collaboration of the Fortnight we have set up. Please feel free to vote on the articles listed, although bear in mind that a vote for a particular article means you are pledging to help improve the article. The goal of the collaboration is to improve articles to Featured Article status, as we feel Comics is under-represented in that area. Thanks for your help. look, its clear that you love what you do. And its also clear from both your and Tverbeeks discussion threads that you have a bad habit of deleting other peoples contributions without any discussion. that is very uncool. This is a speculative article. How can it be made clearer than the heading of the article. Of course, if the series finishes or it rolls along and my speculation has no merit, I would remove it. But I think putting it under its own seperate section is good comprimise.
You need to work on yourself a bit, learn to live with other people.
- I'm happy you think so. I try to write, but I spend most of my time cleaning up stuff (candalism, spelling, grammar). I've already responded about my views on what "a speculative article" means.--Toffile 17:38, 23 December 2005 (UTC)

I'm making this work out one way or another. First go to www.talktna.com and put in my password and screename which is Blackhole_Slam and my password is christmas and u should be able to log in. After the sucessful login then go to this site: http://www.talktna.com/forum/calendar.php?s=&c=1&week=&=2&year=2006 and u should get the information.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 700 (talk • contribs)

Hi!
Sorry, I thought this was a new page. Justa as the limited series, metaseries and miniseries. Alone they seem studs, but together they almost look like an article... BTW, have you ever heard the term "metaseries" occidenal comics? Morrison calls his 7 soldairs thing mega series; but I think metaseries is just made up. The according to me, they are just spins-of series or tie-in series. But what do you think?--T for Trouble-maker 02:04, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
- To be honest, I really hadn't heard of it. However, I really can't disagree with it. Morrison is tying 7 smaller tales within the framework of a larger tale. I can't call it a spinoff because there it's not being spun-off of any existing series. I can't call it a tie-in, because the miniseries are the bulk of the central narrative.--Toffile 02:22, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

Kayfabe
Hey. I've noticed you're a pretty avid watchdog of the wrestling pages, as it pertains to the kayfabe rule. Just wondering why you continue to delete matches for PPVs (No Way Out) that were officialy announced on WWE programming outside of the United States. I was under the impression that this is an international site, not simply for American readers. I suggest you regard announcements made on Smackdown as broadcast in Canada and the UK as "official" as when made on American broadcasts. InedibleHulk 06:12, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
- Well, I don't have a record of those. I was looking at WWE.com, and they've been tightlipped about No Way Out so far.--Toffile 13:06, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
You don't need to have a record. The fact that I saw it on TV is proof enough that it happened. Unless, of course, you're the absolute and omnipotent moderator of the WWE pages. In that case, I'll humbly apologize. InedibleHulk 07:10, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
A final decision has been made in this case and it has been closed. --Tony Sidaway 14:51, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Regarding GameFAQs revert
You reverted the intro wording change, saying the new one is clearer. I'm not going to revert war, but I completely disagree. To someone not very familiar with English or gaming, "The systems and games range from the 8-bit Atari days to the next-gen consoles of today." might be thoroughly confused, since there is no prior mention of systems at all. It should definitely be made explicit that it's GF that covers these systems. --Ultimus 15:59, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

I'm so scared...
I know how hard it is for you to live without me, but you'll just have to cope. Also, it's only a semi-wikibreak. Which basically means that instead of being on Wikipedia upwards of 3 hours a day, it'll probably be about half an hour a day. Of course, it's likely that after two days I'll be back on here loads anyway. This place is addictive. -- Steel 19:19, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Cleanup using AWB
Hi. Just a note. Per Wikipedia:AutoWikiBrowser#Rules_of_use one shoud "avoid making insignificant minor edits". Such edits as unicodifying add not value and just clog watchlists, recent changes, and page histories. I would suggest you use AWB only for substantial edits, like spell-checking, typo fixing, etc., and with a relevant edit summary. Wonder what you think. You can reply here. Thanks. Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 02:49, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
- And note that this is not "bad link repair", it is rather removing of an underscore which makes the link no more no less bad than before. I would think this kind of edits should be avoided too. Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 02:50, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
- Another note: Please do not Unicodify mathematics articles. This topic has been discussed in the Mathematics Project on a number of occasions, always with the conclusion that it is undesirable. Your understanding and cooperation will be appreciated. --KSmrqT 10:59, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
- (Copied from KSmrq talk) Alright, I wasn't aware of that and it won't happen again. (Actually that's the only article I have on my watchlist that fits under WikiProject:Math) I was wondering if you had a link to the decision though. I'd like to see the reasoning behind it.--Toffile 15:08, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
- I forgot to mention that you should reply here on your own talk page, to keep the thread of the conversation in one place. When I post a message I (temporarily) add your user talk page to my watch list so I'll know if you reply.
- For the reasoning, start here and follow the links provided by Paul August. --KSmrqT 18:31, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
- Alright, thanks.--Toffile 18:33, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
Fine
That's ok. I did it because what's to discuss?, that's the guideline and the OFICIAL convention. Or what, are we going to discuss every time a user does soething against guidelines and conventions? Where do we previously know each other from, again?... sorry bad memory.--T-man, the wise 03:20, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Well, check this mess out: Clock King, you think you need consensus about that? The editor who did that clearly confused the character with the episode named after him. In the other cases DA did it against previous advices from Josiah Rowe and Chaosworks claiming there is a convention that he made up, when the actual convention Wikipedia: Naming Convention (televition) points the opposite. Previously, those articles had proper names, I'm almost tempted to believe he did it as part of his doubtfully good faithed "monitoring" over my activities (he happened to decide to go do massive edits against mine the very same day I started editing there) An oddly coincidental clash, but let's say it was in "good faith" towards what in his mind is good for the article, he knew he was wrong has no backing for his edits and clained a non existant one.--T-man, the wise 03:38, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Harpur's Ferry
Hi there. I noticed you set up the redirect for Harpur's Ferry to Binghamton University. I'm thinking of moving the Harpur's Ferry info out of Binghamton University and killing the redirect. An all-volunteer student-run ambulance service seems likely to be unique enough to merit its own article, and the main article is getting pretty long. What do you think? --Tcatts 16:32, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

Collaboration of the Week
The Pro Wrestling Collaboration of the Week for November 11 - November 17 is World Wrestling Entertainment. Please help to improve it to match the quality of an ideal Wikipedia professional wrestling related article. The next article for collaboration will be chosen on Sunday, November 18. From the Editor
Welcome to the inaugural edition of the WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter! I hope this will be a good source of news to those people interested in what's happening around our pro wrestlimg community. I plan to release it every Sunday. This newsletter will just be a way to get the community announcements to people who don't have the time to check the mesageboards, as well that to those just curious about the news. The newsleter will consist of a project news section (to do with what's happening on Wikipedia), and a current events section (relating to news in the "real world"). The newslette will also contain the Collaboration of the Week announcement. That's all. If you have any feedback or suggestions, please post them at this talk page. Binghamton Pictures
I appreciate your thoughts on having too many pictures. Perhaps one solution would be to spread them out. You see, my main concern is that the current pictures are particularly bad pictures. I have many more flattering images that I think could look really good, and also better the school's image if we used them. I'm not very well versed though, perhaps I could give them to you and you could tinker with placing them into the article.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Greynol1 (talk • contribs) 10:23, 13 June 2006
