Stupid "Evidences"
edit- Hey - noticed your comments at Plural Marriage. You stated in your edit summary "no documented occurances of group sex" and changed "Most plural marriages did not involve group sex" to "There are no known occurances of group sex under this practice."
- This is true. Somewhat. This depends on you definition of "evidence."
- There is evidence of that Young placed a family on the Mormon trail where the husband and two wives slept in the same bed. Whether or not this was done to discourage non-Mormon settlement near Mormon communities or not is a matter of some dispute. As it was a waystation, all pioneering companies had to stop there and likely would witness the set up. This is where the claim of "evidence" comes from. Obviously, one bed, two women and a man, would lead people to believe that sexual relations occured in the bed, which by definition is group sex. Stupid reasoning, but it is enough to provide "evidence" although not very reliable.
- I think a more accurate reflection of the statement would be "Mormon plural marriages did not include group sex."
- Would you like to make the change? -Visorstuff 23:35, 16 November 2005 (UTC)
Fair enough - used your correction. --Tobey 04:56, 17 November 2005 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Ozumba_temple.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Ozumba_temple.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 22:48, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
- The image was taken by anthropologist Thomas W. Murphy, I'll see what I can do to secure a statement from him that he is happy for the image to be used.
Police questioning.
editHello Tobeyjaggle, I have included you among a list of Wiki users as a candidate for police review. Do not be alarmed if you are contacted. --Renyseneb 09:25, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Joseph Leslie Broadbent
editI don't claim to have any special knowledge of Mormon fundamentalist groups and their history. I was guided by the biography of Joseph Leslie Broadbent on Mormonfundamentalism.com, which is linked in the article. The biography gives a source for the discussion of the succession controversy, but I have not independently consulted that source. As for the spelling of "Yates" or "Yeates", I was again guided by the same source. Other Google sources (here and here) give the "Yates" spelling.
There does appear to have been some kind of succession dispute after Broadbent's death, even if most Mormon fundamentalists were unaware or uninvolved. As for the spelling question, I can only go by the sources I was able to consult. There may be better sources available. Casey Abell 18:13, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
- The official LDS Church records say Yeats see this [1].
- His middle name is after his mother whose maiden name was Yeates, see this [2].

Mick Ronson
editNice little story about Mick, and, yes, it isn't Encyclopediac or germaine to the article so it has been removed. Insofar that his religion didn't inform what he was famous for - blistering guitar solo's, edgy rhythm guitar, stylish piano playing, great singing, innovative arranging, fantastic producing and all round nice guy - then it is only mentioned briefly in the text. I'm sure there are a few Ronson sites where other fans would be happy to hear of your encounter, though. Cheers.LessHeard vanU 19:28, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
