TjBot
editHey there Tj. Regarding your recent bot request for approval at Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/TjBot. I'm afraid that I've had to decline it, due to issues I pointed out at the BRfA. Please make sure you study en.wikipedia's bot policy before further requests for approval. As well as this, please cleanup the edits the bot made to templates. Feel free to leave any comments on my talk page, I'd be happy to help. All the best, - Kingpin13 (talk) 13:05, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
- Hey Tjmoel, thanks for the message. Don't worry, I fully understand that you were acting in good faith, and had no intention of causing harm :). It's really great that you want to help the project further by improving interwiki links, but you will need to get a better understanding of the English Wikipedia's bot policy (each Wiki has it's own policies), and interwiki linking on the English Wikipedia. For some reading, I'd suggest Help:Interwiki linking, and WP:BOTPOL, especially the section on interwiki linking bots. I'm guessing that English is not your first language (?) so if you have trouble understanding anything, please ask for a clarification. Don't worry too much about any problems you may have caused, and thanks for cleaning up after the bot :). - Kingpin13 (talk) 20:17, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
- Please stop running the bot for now or it may well have to be blocked as it is running without a flag, and without approval. If it does get blocked, you should be able to make any manual edits from your own account. But please make sure you have approval before you continue to make automated edits. I sympathise with you in that you need a quick and easy way to sort out the categories, and it's not working out. But, it also seems to me that this bot is just breaking too much of our bot policy to be approved. You could ask someone else with an approved interwiki bot to do the edits for you? If you want, you can always start a second BRfA, to get input from another Bot Approval's Group member, but that you have continued to incorrectly add interwikis to templates is not good. Best, - Kingpin13 (talk) 13:49, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion notification
edit{{subst:nn-warn-reason|Template:Cape Town weatherbox|header=1|It may meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion under CSD T3}}
- OK, well that didn't work, but anyway this is to notify you that I nominated {{Cape Town weatherbox}} for speedy deletion under criterion T3, as a hardcoded instance of {{Weather box}}. - htonl (talk) 01:46, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Template:Gaborone weatherbox
editHello. The template you created on Oct. 20 2010, Template:Gaborone weatherbox -- what is it for? It is not linked to by anything, making it pointless. your notes say "move details to template" - details from what? Please advise or link it to a page. Thanks. - Salamurai (talk) 04:42, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
