Brando, I realize you disagree with The Courier-Journal, but it simply isn't encyclopedic to change references to The Communist-Journal. Thanks. BabuBhatt 18:15, 17 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

In this article I put it in as a joke while reconstucting the page and forgot to revert it (just like calling Pitino Rickhammad al-Pitino or saying the last baseball NCAA appear. was in 1823) I was venting the other day on the C-J site which shouldn't have been done and needed to be reverted, however you didn't have to be a smart ass about it. There are legitimate complaints about the CJ's unprofessional sports coverage (to both U of L & UK), esp. when compared with other papers. It is certainly not as highly esteemed as the article makes it sound, which makes me question its POV. The Br3 18:55, 17 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
My apologies if my edit summary on The Courier-Journal appeared smart-ass to you. Just a reactionary thing, I guess when I saw many statements with no sources there. I don't read the C-J regularly, so I can't attest to its biases in sports coverage. If you find sources stating these things, you could construct a criticism section with attribution there, but only with sources, since there is no original research on wikipedia. Apparently, I also set you off on a rampage of vandalism with that edit summary as well; up until that time, I only saw positive contributions from you and then I figured someone hijacked your username and was making all kinds of joke edits. I didn't appreciate all the wanton changes to my userpage and talk page. The changes were almost immediately reverted, so I am unsure what satisfaction you got from it. I don't mean to enrage you again, but ethnic slurs really have no place in an encyclopedia, and secondly, you really don't know my ethnicity just based on a username I got from Seinfeld. I hope to work positively with you on Kentucky-related articles in the future. Thanks. BabuBhatt 19:40, 17 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Young Sarah

Just out of curiosity... why did you change the picture of Sarah Michelle Gellar into a seemingly trivial cat?

Mr Ernest isn't a "trivial cat". If you said that to his face he would stratch your eyes out. However, upoading a pic with just a # for a name will create future problems for both of us by accident, so I can upload his pic by a different name. You should consider doing the same. Hey there

edit

I wanted to offer to help you get unblocked. You made some decent contributions to Kentucky-related articles, and I find it hard to believe that we're better off without you. There just seems to be a misunderstanding over putting personal opinions into the article on The Courier-Journal, which I'd like to help you with if you're interested. If you want, I will talk to the admins who blocked you and I think they'll rescind their blocks if I mentor you and you indicate you won't "vandalize" that article anymore. So let me know. Thanks. --W.marsh 00:16, 30 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of File:Ulvolleyball05.JPG

edit

The file File:Ulvolleyball05.JPG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

We are not a repository of sports stats. Unused graph of scores with no specific significance.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ♠PMC(talk) 18:35, 30 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
