- Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
- Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
- In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
- Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
- Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like
<ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>
, copy the whole thing). - In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
- If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References== {{Reflist}}
Hello Libyanguy I wanted your help in publishing about contemporary Libyan figures currently in the government but everything I write ends up biased can you help me out with this task? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mohamedabaids (talk • contribs) 16:28, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I cannot edit in other userspaces, sorry if it took so long for me to reply TheLibyanGuy (talk) 04:31, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
Mohamedabaids, I am removing your "helpme" tag, because that is not for use on the talk page of the editor you are asking to help. It is to attract any editors who patrol help requests to a request for help. If you post a request on the talk page of a particular editor, that editor will be notified of your request anyway, without a "helpme" tag. JBW (talk) 16:47, 28 September 2023 (UTC)

Good to still see you around
editLong time no see. Remember the conversations we used to have a few years ago. Hope you are doing well. Hemiauchenia (talk) 21:48, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
- Never expected to see you here. TheLibyanGuy (talk) 13:20, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- I know you've mostly moved on to editing about topics related to the Islamic world (something which I have also dabbled in), but I see you still edit paleontology related articles from time to time (mostly dinosaurs it seems recently, rather than the South American animals you used to be interested in). I've still been chipping away at South American animals. I'm pleased with the state of Megatherium and Macrauchenia now. If you ever want to collaborate on something, let me know. editHello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:54, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
The article 2024 Qusar attack has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
This article relies solely on claims from ISIS's Al-Naba newsletter, which is not a reliable source (WP:RS). The claim about an attack in Qusar, Azerbaijan, lacks any corroboration from independent or reliable sources (WP:V). ISIS's newsletter often publishes fabricated or exaggerated claims, and no credible outlet has reported this alleged incident. The absence of reliable evidence strongly suggests this is likely misinformation. Furthermore, creating Wikipedia pages based on unverified claims from extremist propaganda risks amplifying their disinformation. Unless verifiable and independent sources emerge, this article fails Wikipedia's notability and reliability standards and should be deleted to maintain encyclopedic integrity. Per Wikipedia's notability policy (WP:N), topics must have significant coverage from reliable, independent sources to merit inclusion. Additionally, Wikipedia is not a platform for promoting unverified news or rumors (WP:NOTNEWS). Creating pages for unsupported claims from extremist propaganda risks amplifying misinformation. I asked for citation needed since 03. Dec 2024. No answer.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --rchard2scout (talk) 10:05, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
- Note: I'm just the one fixing up the misformed PROD and notifying you. The one who actually (tried to) propose the PROD was NurlanLalaev. --rchard2scout (talk) 10:05, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
