the x factor project - marked for removal

Dear Paul2387, I am the editor of The_X_Factor_Fansite, currently under attack by admins who have articled for removal. Earlier they tagged other x factor sites of mine as speedy removal, and within minutes my article was gone. I need your vote to save. I need your vote immediately to be placed at: [[1]]

PLEASE HELP ME!--Robtencer (talk) 05:19, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

I am a member of wikiproject x factor and feel very strongly about the issues.

My comment at RFA talk

I'm sure you might think my comment was a personal criticism of some sort. It wasn't, and I hope you don't take it that way. I noticed that you've gone for RFA in the past, and my personal feeling is that a comment like: "I have a vast knowledge about nearly anything" is just not the sort of thing you should have on your user page. I'm absolutely convinced you have the interests of the encyclopedia at heart, and I actually look forward to supporting you as an admin one day, but the whole design of your user page, particularly with regard to colour and the type of statement I mentioned above, is almost guaranteed to put people off, and especially the type of people who vote at RFA.

Anyway, that's all I wanted to say - I hope you can take my comments as they were intended. You can also come to my talk page and tell me I'm a dick, no problem there - it's a free house. :-)  Begoontalk 17:13, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

I'm sorry if you end up feeling like this is "bash Paul" day - it's not - but this is a terrible idea. Wikipedia is not a MMORPG and statements like that (indicating you're trying to "level up" or something) don't demonstrate you're here to write or maintain an encyclopedia. I appreciate your hard work, but I promise you the RFA crowd will just about never pass you with stuff like that on your user page. Sorry to blunt, and again please note your contributions are really valued. Happy editing. Pedro :  Chat  18:34, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
And again, Paul, believe me, I genuinely posted this comment in a spirit of helpfulness. If I'm guilty of anything it's not posting something after your last RFA - I remember seeing your page then, and thinking I should comment, but a combination of not wanting to hurt your feelings, and being busy made me forget. Your post today reminded me, and though I'm probably guilty of less compassion than I could have used, I'm not sorry I finally got round to it. I echo Pedro - your contributions are awesome, and appreciated - and your reaction to my comments today is nothing short of exceptional.  Begoontalk 18:52, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
Sorry Pedro, but I have to disagree; Wikipedia is an MMORPG. :) ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 21:22, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
