HeaderIcons improvements

edit
  • Insertion of a separator (vertical bar) between page-related icons and user-related ones
  • Two icons are not displayed (Special:ContentTranslation and Special:MyUploads). This seems to be caused by the fact that there is no background-image CSS rule, but a mask-image
  • Possibility to not insert some of the icons (as preferences, beta-features), in general all should be removable at the user's choice
    • Maybe also to reorder them?
  • Possibility to not add them in both header and sticky-header
  • I have also the clock and sometimes they are placed on the left of it and sometimes on the right. This seems to be a not-wanted race condition.

@ZandDev I will look into fixing this when I can.
I will let you know once the above should be fixed. Terasail[✉️] 15:06, 3 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
@ZandDev, I have now updated the script to stop the errors you mentioned above with the content translaton and upload icons. It appears that they changed it from a background image to a mask after I last updated the script.
I have changed it slightly so that it should no longer interact with other user scripts that make changes in the header.
I decided not to add a vertical bar as when I was testing, it didn't look how I wanted it to.
The ability to reoder the icons manually would make the script quite complex and would require saving the order somewhere aswell, so I decided against this as I want to keep this quite simple.
If you want to disable any of the icons, the best way to do it would be through your user CSS, for example to disable the beta features icon, you can use: #pt-betafeatures-2 { display:none } for the top header or pt-betafeatures-sticky-header-2 { display:none } for the sticky header, and this should work on all icons.
Please let me know if you have any further ideas or any other bugs with conflicting scripts. Terasail[✉️] 13:54, 17 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
