Good to hear. I got practice using wiki markup on StrategyWiki, but they don't typically use references there unless they get permission from the author of the source and it's a lot of original research. Is it common for editors to wait about a year to be formally greeted? Because that happened to me on StrategyWiki too. --TatharNuar (talk) 14:42, 23 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Open proxy block review

edit

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. My IP address is 208.64.158.239. My ISP, Whitesky Communications provides internet access to my entire apartment complex over Carrier-grade NAT. Non-residents do not have access. Tathar (talk) 09:26, 29 December 2022 (UTC) Reply

Decline reason:

Procedural decline as account is not directly blocked, so no block to lift. Yes, the IP is blocked as a proxy. You can either edit from somewhere else, or (better yet), go to WP:IPECPROXY and follow the instructions there to request IP block exemption. — Daniel Case (talk) 07:44, 30 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Upcoming expiry of your ipblock-exempt right

edit

Hi, this is an automated reminder as part of Global reminder bot to let you know that your WP:IPBE right which gave you the ability to bypass IP address blocks will expire on 02:30, 5 November 2024 (UTC). If your IP is still blocked (which you can test by trying to edit when logged-out), please renew by following the instructions at the IPBE page; otherwise, you do not need to do anything. To opt out of user right expiry notifications, add yourself to m:Global reminder bot/Exclusion. Leaderbot (talk) 07:29, 29 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
