How does X work?

edit

Your question.

Hi, I have been blocked and I cannot edit. I have not been using any proxy servers. My Internet provider gives me a dynamic ip. My ip changes all the time and it is possible that someone else is using the ip I used to have. My PC does not have a virus, I checked it up through netstat and I do not see any weird connection.

Clearing an autoblock

Due to the nature of the block applied we need additional information before we can decide whether to unblock you. It is very likely that you are not personally blocked. If you are prevented from editing, it may be because you are autoblocked or blocked because of your IP address. Without further details there is nothing further we can do to review or lift your block. Please follow these instructions:

  1. If you have a Wikipedia account, please ensure that you are logged in.
Your account name will be visible in the top right of this page if you are.
If it isn't, try bypassing your web browser's cache.
  2. Try to edit the Sandbox.
  3. If you are still blocked, copy the {{unblock-auto|...}} code generated for you under the "IP blocked?" section. This is usually hidden within the "What do I do now?" section. If so, just click the "[show]" link to the right hand side to show this text.
  4. Paste the code at the bottom of your user talk page and click save.

If you are not blocked from editing the sandbox then the autoblock on your IP address has already expired and you can resume editing. Mdann52 (talk) 16:03, 2 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I am still blocked and I was about to review some articles I have been working on that need additional information . I think my Internet provider gave me a new ip that was using a proxy server. Sometimes my ip changes every day. Help me and let me know how I can prevent this next time. Tatask89 (talk) 17:48, 2 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Procedural decline - as you have edited article space since initiating the request it would appear that you are no longer blocked. Please post another request is you still cannot edit. Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 22:53, 4 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I can't see a block - but I don't know your IP. What is the message you're getting? Peridon (talk) 19:00, 2 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Possible Vandalism

edit

Hi there,

I have been translating a wiki article "James Weldon Johnson" and after I added a new paragraph and saved the page a warming appeared saying possible vandalism. I do not understand why this happened if I was just translating something into Spanish.

How can I do in order to solve this ? Tatask89 (talk) 00:33, 11 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
